'I've stayed at the Colonial Motel a couple of times, exploring the local area, hiking, kayaking. Places like the Colonial are increasingly rare these days. A welcoming and authentic place to stay- and it's the nicest building in town, refreshing pool, comfortable room, and a ten minute drive in several directions to recreation and decent food. '

'What a charming place! This motel is well-maintained, clean, and has such a cute atmosphere, perfect for a little getaway. The staff was so kind - we were greeted in the lobby by the owner (I believe?) and he was so incredibly friendly. The room was lovely and well-decorated - I especially loved the bedspread. 'The property is clean. The rates were good. It was very convenient to Cooperstown for the Hall of Fame Induction weekend. My husband really liked the shower amenities-- both the shower head and the Trader Joe's 3-in-1 soap. We enjoyed dinner at the Mill Pond in Jefferson. And the Fire Department had their annual fireworks display on Saturday night. Highly recommend Tandem Antiques, which is just down the street.'
