There are some fan in the room. But still hot. The staff is friendly and helpful. Even though I checked in around 11pm. The room was more clean than I expected.

Hello, Thank you for your review. There was a heat wave on the weekend and the hostel does only have two fans per room. We suggest to guests to go use the outdoor pool 10 min walk away for a swim to cool off when the temperatures get over 40 degrees. Can also always ask reception for another fan. The lady in the reception was really nice and friendly. The good thing about this hostel is that you can book a private room for a very reasonable price and its location is amazing. Bathroom was ok. Overall ok.

This place was an unexpected gem! The staff at check in were so friendly and helpful. The room was super clean and the facilities were clean and functional. It is very close to Central train station and there are lots of places to eat nearby. Will definitely stay there again.

The location is the best. As many of reviews said, the building is old and the floor is squeaky, but they are upgrading by painting walls and providing in-room shelves, desk and individual lockers. The hospitality of the staff, especially Ashley working at reception, was super! She was so friendly and attentive to make our stay happy in many ways. I would definitely return to Home Backpackers!!

Very run down accomodation. Every door and floor is squeaking. Had a room next to entrance door and couldn’t sleep because of the noise from door every time someone entered the building. Also rooms were very run down. Very very basic.

セントラル駅からもスーパーからも近い、街の中心まで歩いて行ける。そんな立地の良さで、この値段なのだから、文句は言えません。 　夫婦で個室に結局12泊しましたが、次第に、シャワーなどの温度調節など使い方にも慣れてきました。 　カンボジアやラオスの安宿に比べると、十分ですが、日本と比べると、え・・・と思われるかもしれません。 　台所が電熱のレンジなので、調理に時間がかかるので、ほかの住人とうまく時間をずらし、パスタやビーフンなどすぐにできる料理のほうが良いです。

Auberge située à 5 minutes de marche de la station de trains Central et du terminus de greyhound. Les toilettes sont situées au premier étage, si vous avez une chambre au deuxième étage alors il faut vous déplacer au premier. Planchers en bois recouvert de tapis qui font du bruit quand vous marchez. Gros avantage vous avez un restaurant Little Ceasar à la sortie de l'auberge.

This backpackers really convenient to their tenants. Walking distance to Paddy's market, Central station, etc. In short, it's a good place to stay, i stayed there for 3 nights and all was good. Worth with what u pay

Lovely hostel!
Great hostel, were in a super quiet room, spotlessly clean, bathroom was practically to ourselves which was next door to the room, beds and sheets were so clean and comfy - air freshener in room was a lovely touch! Being like a 1 minute walk from Central was ideal, will definitely stay again and strongly recommend! Lots of free stuff to do everyday eg. Pizzas, nights out, pancakes on the weekend etc. Sadly I was only there for 1 night and had breakfast arrangements so cannot comment on the pancakes - but I bet they were awesome!

It was OK for one night, building quite old. Beds were clean, bathrooms were not in a very good condition (shared bathrooms). Pancakes in the morning were good.

Close to the train station and cheap for the night. However the bed was creaky, screeched with every movement, hard to get a good night’s sleep. There were no towels so we couldn’t have a shower. The unisex toilet windows faced out on to the rooftop so you could make eye contact with someone while in your cubicle, a little awkward. We arrived at 9pm and left at 7am between a train trip and plane flight, so wasn’t too bad, but wouldn’t want to spend any longer there. The lady who helped us check-in, I think her name was Marnie, was very lovely though.

I have checked all toilets and the windows are either boarded up or there is frosted glass to prevent from anyone seeing. But I will look into this further. The location on this backpackers is the best. This building is close to Chinatown, darling Harbour and central station. The internet is terrible,room is too small and no light.

hello, Thank you leaving us a review about your stay with us. We are very proud of our location, as you said, so close to some of Sydney's biggest attractions. The wifi works the best in the common areas and some rooms, which is stated on our website and explained on check in. It's also free and unlimited for guests. If staff were notified throughout your stay, we would have been more than happy to change it. Hopefully you enjoyed the free pancakes whilst you were here. Regards
