Viel tegen
Het hotel Metro Inn viel een beetje tegen. De foto's zagen er beter uit dan dat het in werkelijk was. Het bed was slecht, doorgezakt. Kwam met rugpijn eruit. Er zaten voornamelijk Chinezen, de eigenaar is Chinees, en wij hebben niets tegen Chinezen maar er liepen er een paar gasten bij die zo bot waren als een botte bijl. Bovendien waren ze erg luidruchtig. En het ontbijt viel ook tegen, werd ook beter voorgedaan als dat het was.was niet de prijs waard.

Zeer goede prijs/kwalititsverhouding
Wij verbleven maar liefst 3 weken in dit hotel vanaf half december 20176 tot begin januari 2017. Dit is een hele leuke, maar wel zeer drukke en dus dure periode in Sydney. Dit hotel was echter een prima uitkomst. Gewoon een prima hotel met schone kamers zonder poespas. Je kan naar Sydney centrum met openbaar vervoer met de bus (M52, op 100 mtr) of met de Ferry (vanaf Meadowbank, op 1km) of met de trein (station Meadowbank, ook op 1 km). De trein en bus zijn het snelste ( ca. 45 min) maar de Ferry is het leukste (ca 60 min). Zeer groot winkelcentrum (Top Ryde) op ca. 2 km of met bus (M52).

a very pleasant syrprise, internet bookings can sometimes be a hit or miss ,.. this surprised me in it's setup and cobndition, so much so, that i stayed another night , and i will be back !! :)

This hotel is OK, the room and bathroom were spotlessly clean. The room was large enough and the king bed was excellent. The gardens surrounding the property were in a poor state and there were outdoor areas that needed attention. The staff were polite but not friendly. The dining room for dinner and breakfast was basic but adequate, reflected in the reasonable prices.

The Ryde Inn is a modest hotel stay with appropriate rates to support this. While some areas, such as cleanliness and courtesy were high, other areas were sub par. On check in, there was an issue with the previous guest's booking. This was not an problem in itself, the disappointing thing was there was at least three other staff present that could not assist us &others waiting. Eventually one of these others came and asked if she could help, clearly embarrassed at our lack of attention and wanting to assist but with limited ability to do so. It is important if staff are going to be behind the front desk, they need to be able to assist. Only one person trained to do so makes check-in a poor experience. The Ryde Inn shows its age. There are several holes in the carpet near the top of one of the staircases, (the railings of which are loose!) creating a dangerous trip hazard &needs to be attended to immediately. Our bathroom sink had mismatched taps, the cold tap leaking from the base when on.(I didn't try the shower). The bed blanket was badly sewn &showing its age. The pool looked dirty & uninviting, The outside garden areas looked unkempt. Restaurant food was generous, hot &good value. The bar, though had only 2 white wines, excluding the house, one of which they didn't have. If you have a limited selection, make sure you have plenty of it. Again the staff were courteous & well meaning but some money needs to be outlaid in training, safety features, fittings & in the bar.

It is an older motel but Staff were friendly and helpful, room was clean and serviced daily. Wi-Fi worked well, breakfast is available and dinner also weeknights, which was very nice. Easy parking with a convenient location.

I needed a break after a long drive and needed to rest and so the Ryde Inn was a good choice. It’s well priced for what and where it is. The bed was comfortable, shower worked really well and I had a good night sleep, a good rest which what I was hoping for and thank you, I found it. Cheers!

Good value for money accommodation
We were there for three days. Great location, easy access plenty of free parking, friendly staff, great value breakfast to buy basic tasty. However, the only thing that I chilled out was the mattresses on the bed. They were very uncomfortable which was really disappointing especially when you’re travelling. For me, a comfortable mattress and a good night sleep is what is most in a hotel.

Our property has a strict no-smoking policy in all guest rooms, and smoking is only permitted on the balcony with the balcony door closed. Unfortunately spent the whole night hearing people walking up and down the hallway, hearing every door slam. Not to mention hearing the people next door in the middle of the night. The room was clean which was nice but for my overall stay, I'm not planning on coming back.

We also offer guests the option of reserving one of our Deluxe Queen Rooms which are all located upstairs with a private balcony well away from the road.
