Historic Charm : Pyrmont is a vibrant and dynamic Sydney neighbourhood known for its rich history, stunning waterfront views, and convenient proximity to the downtown city center. In Pyrmont you make a steep in history, with beautifully preserved heritage buildings and landmarks that tell the story of Sydney’s past.



From the earliest days of European settlement in Sydney, Pyrmont with it's close proximity to the city, was ideally located for essential industries such as boat building, iron foundries, and sandstone on an immense scale. Many of the buildings have been saved and repurposed, while new buildings have been added. Generous open spaces and parks add great charm to the leafy neighbourhood. Many saved items from the industries, enhance the parks and buildings.

Pyrmont was the primary sandstone quarry site for Sydney's earliest buildings. Sandstone cliffs are visible around Pyrmont.



The Sydney downtown area is separated from Pyrmont by Darling Harbour. To walk into the city you'll cross an historic, restored (now totally pedestrian) Pyrmont Bridge.

Darling Harbour itself is the redevelopment of the old docks and ship building area. It offers shopping, a large number and variety of cafés, restaurants, and bars. It's lovely to sit out by the water on a warm afternoon sipping a cooling drink. Recently Barangaroo has been opened, adjoining Darling Harbour, and offers some of the most innovative and interesting bars, restaurants and cafés in Sydney. The Australian Maritime Museum is also at this site. From Pyrmont Bay ferry wharf, you can catch ferries to Circular Quay near the Opera House. You'll travel under the famous Sydney Harbour Bridge on the way.

MAXIMUM GUESTS / Bed CONFIGURATION

5 guests maximum. Please ensure all guests are accurately recorded in the booking section, including children.

Bed configuration: 1 King bed with ensuite, 1 Queen bed, and 1 pull-out sofa-bed in the living room.



SOFA-BED USAGE

For bookings of 3 or 4 guests requiring separate sleeping arrangements, an added linen fee of $35 will apply for the use of the sofa bed. Please contact your host to arrange payment. No extra charge if the booking is for 5 guests.
