"Panoramic view across the river made the mornings and evenings unforgettable. A building to the left partially blocks view of Parliament and fully blocks the Castle, but that did not diminish the total effect. The surface trolley that runs along the river is 100 yards away, and the subway is another 200. Get a muni pass and you will ride everywhere. Trams etc run every 3-5 minutes. The elevator had a problem but the host took action immediately and we viewed the episode as a positive example...

We were able to walk to most everything - there was an Aldi’s food market only steps away - we loved being by the park - we loved the access to the subway, trolley and bus if we couldn’t walk to our destination. "Great location! Near the train station and the cathedral. Walking distance to most of the major sites. Pedestrian street with lots of restaurants right around the corner. The drawbacks are no refrigerator or kettle in room and the shower is kind of open to the rest of the room. There is a curtain and it wasn’t a problem for us, but it’s something to know.
