'West River House was a pleasant surprise. It has a hostel vibe. The room was clean and the bed / pillows are very comfortable. We were most impressed with the detailed instructions for everything including parking, shower use, check in and checkout. We enjoyed the balcony as well. The location was great for us as we came to ride bikes and enjoy Truckee Thursday. '

We enjoyed the nearby restaurants and walking on the bike paths to downtown Truckee. These are a bit on the expensive side, but worth a few days. The landscaping they are working on is going to be nice when it fills out. We would stay here again. '

'Quick get away with the wife at the Olympic Village Inn. The property is older and currently being upgraded. However, the room was very clean and comfortable. We had a very restful stay and enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi. The hotel also provided a free margarita happy hour during our stay. '
