Thank you for staying at our home and for being a great guest. We were saddened to hear that you had some concerns about the hot tub usage. We do have quiet hours posted in the listing so that all guests that chose to reserve our home are aware. With that said when we checked in with you the morning after your check in there was no concern expressed over the use of the hot tub, its functionality and hours of usage. We could have worked with you on those concerns. Also, the hot tub is only heated when you activate the tub as it is part of the pool and not a stand alone hot tub. This was highlighted in the message we send out prior to check in. We are very easy to work with and want to ensure that all guests have a five star experience. Thank you for staying at our home. This review saddens us. We go above and beyond to ensure each guest has an amazing vacation. We have a guest book full of happy family memories that warm our hearts. In addition to that numerous 4 and 5 star reviews from past guests that truly loved our home. This guest did say they saw a roach in the home and felt it necessary to check out and wanted a full refund including nights that they had stayed. This comes after a message from the guest saying "Your house is so beautiful, We are already having so much fun". We receive regular pest control treatments and have not had prior issues. Heavier rains and humidity can cause an occasional bug to make its way in from the outside, especially with several guests coming in and out throughout the day. With that said, the guest asked to check out and we did not give them any resistance to this request. Even though we are not obligated to provide a refund we did refund Jennifer the remainder of their days. Then 20 days after checking out Jennifer asked us to refund the entire stay even though we had already provided a refund for the days she did not stay at our home. Providing a refund for the days they did stay seemed extreme especially since they had shared what a great time they were having. When we didn't refund her the full amount there was suddenly a review posted giving us a 1 star review which just seems extremely unfair when we actually did everything we could possibly do to help the situation.

Hi Rachel, Thank you for choosing our home for your stay. We understand you are upset that you were charged a small fee for breaking our rules during the birthday party weekend you had. But, the house was left a mess after your party causing extra work for the cleaning crew. That’s why party events are against our rules. Additionally, we had neighbor complaints for noise and parking in yard. You attempted to turn pool heater up to 100+ degrees and the house AC down to 50 degrees; also against rules. But we only charged for the smoking. We often leave food and drink items for guests as a courtesy. We did not anticipate that being an issue for you. It really appears that you are just trying to find problems, despite our extraordinary efforts to provide a great guest experience.

Hi Sherri, Thank you for your feedback and for taking care of our home during your stay. We checked on the electrical issues and everything seems to be working fine. As for the ice maker we have ice trays in the freezer and there was a label covering the ice maker button on the refrigerator highlighting the fact that the trays are in the freezer.
