'De Phoenix hotel was een geweldige ervaring. De bouw gecombineerd met de inrichting is een belevenis. De oude stijl geeft wat optische mankementen, maar alles doet het wel. Het zwembad is heerlijk om even af te koelen. Het personeel is super aardig. Het ontbijt is overcompleet, er is veel te kiezen. Sowieso kan je er goed eten. De locatie is op loopafstand van Malioboro street. Voor ons een top verblijf.'

'Such a nice resort, great lagoon rooms and great view from the rooms. One thing for sure is this hotel needs stronger brand essence and identity. Love the staffs and the foods. Especially my favorite is spending my time in the Wine Lounges or the Public pool. The staffs are friendly but it can be much better, they can learn from other Starwoods Hotels especially in Bali. But my disappointment is my expectation on the venue not the staff or food. Implementation in everything can be upgrade to 99%...

'Still under construction so there may be some minor disruptions here and there. But the staff’s hospitality and care more than makes up for it. The rooms are new and the beds are very comfortable also. It’s the perfect area to be if you’re visiting Borobudur and north area and also only 25 mins to Malioboro. Will return to this hotel if I’m back to Jogja!'

The view from the 8th floor at night was beautiful; a place to get away from the noise and bustle of the streets. The bar, while not fully stocked had enough of a variety to keep content.

'It was quite nice, we stayed there what felt like a long time. The staff were so friendly and helpful, at some point it felt like a second home. Some of the facilities were a bit miss, such as our sink tap just being just broken though still functional. But everything else was quite pleasant. Really enjoyed our stay, would definitely go back.
