Dear Trent, For those (like my own family) that like long showers twice each day and use the spa a lot, we have a boost button on the hot water to ensure continuous hot water. We also make every endeavor to ensure there aren’t any bugs, but no system is perfect in this regard. We have a property maintenance program and professionals to clean and maintain the house and we would appreciate knowing if there is anything that you think we could improve? Jason and Kathryn

Dear Ben, we are disappointed that you didn’t call or message us to address your concerns. The BBQ did have a nearly full gas bottle and the instructions indicate that you need to press the gauge to release the gas. The hot plates are new and I double checked that they do work properly. When a hot plate is chosen, a heat setting must also be chosen otherwise it will switch off as a safety feature, because it thinks you have chosen that hot plate accidentally. I suspect that this may have been your issue and obviously easily resolvable. The stove instructions were in the kitchen drawer, so there was no need to google instructions and the matter of choosing a beast setting is on the first page of the instructions. The air conditioning filters were due for replacement but it definitely was not affecting its operation as they were so thin they actually let more air through than the new filters I installed. I think you may only have needed to have allowed a little more time. The air conditioning is excellent, but as it serves the whole house it can take more than a few minutes to start feeling it effects. It also takes a few minutes for the hot air in the ducts to be fully flushed through. We have replaced all the globes in the house with LED globes to hopefully avoid a light bulb going out, however we would have been most happy to come around immediately and replace the globe if you had let us know. In terms of of bugs, we have never seen white tip spiders and our professional cleaners have never reported any either. Thanks for letting us know about the bugs you did encounter. We do not normally have any insect or bug problems as we regularly use insect surface sprays outside the house, particularly at the doorways. Having said that, the house is in a rural area and it’s hard to eliminate every single bug. We really encourage you to call your hosts next time as, like us, most hosts are only too happy to help and Kathryn and I always make ourselves available for our guests and we certainly respond quickly.
