'I have been dreading writing this review all day because I wanted to love this resort; however, this was basically a dump. It’s a fantastic lobby area but the hotel is basically a mid 1980s apartment complex. Everything from the tiles to the faucets to the bathroom to the exterior of all the buildings screams 1985. For a resort the pool looks like a 1985 apartment complex pool, there’s no gym or spa. Now the lobby area is top notch, and the golf course looked nice. But this was the biggest...

'We stayed 2 nights. The AC in the room was very loud, carpet and floor didn't seem like they were swept/vacuumed. The stopper in the bathroom sink was broken. We were woken up at 6 by the fire alarm because something had burned in the kitchen. We asked for clean towels one morning and never got them. We have stayed here before and it seems like the hotel isn't kept as well as it used to be. The pool was the best part of our stay.'

The breakfast was the same every day...we would have liked some food variety.
There were big dogs in hallways, doorways and elevator that were agressive, barked loudly and not under the owners' control. It made me uncomfortable in the common areas. '

Could use more parking spots. Access to Hotel from I-10 frontage road is convenient, but the Hotel sign is somewhat hidden when it is time to make a turn.'

'We had a very nice spacious ground floor room with king bed and large bathroom (suite 7) in the Carriage House annex. It had a view of the main building's rear. It is a nice heritage building. Towels and shower were good. Breakfast offered freshly made hot items and home-made jam of good quality. Friendly staff. Parking in the quiet street in front of the hotel.
Breakfast time between 9 and 10 am, a bit too late to our liking. The king bed was a bit too sensitive to a partner's movements in bed....
