'The staff are very good, but this property is very tired and in need of a major update. The pictures DO NOT look anything like what we stayed in. The air conditioning did not work, the toilet leaks (from the bowl), cleaning staff did not clean the room, ants are everywhere in the room. '

'The staff at Garden Island Resort are all so lovely and caring.
The gardens at the front of the building are beautiful.
The location is not great for snorkeling right from the resort though amazing diving and snorkelling is available close by.
The pool is directly underneath a cauldron of bats, not 1-2 bats but close to 100. The bats are screeching constantly throughout the day and there are bat droppings on the pool deck.
There are few close amenities and not much within walking distance....

'This was an amazing place! The staff was unbelievably helpful and friendly and the setting is spectacular and the rooms themselves are comfortable but they need new beds we had a hard time sleeping on the old metal box spring together waking each other up every time we moved
It would be 100% great if they got new beds '

'This is a great place to stay with a great family. We felt welcome from the moment we arrived, had a wonderful easy time and were very sorry to leave. This isn't a hotel or resort - it's a homestay and we really felt at home. Jale, Nita, Sia and Jima are creative, interesting and generally exceptional people and perfect hosts. Small venue. So it’s very private feeling.
Amazing opportunities to snorkel very close by. Not on the best beach for a swim but can have a private experience on a private beautiful beach to yourselves 5 min boat ride away. Pool area well maintained.
Tables at mealtime well spaced so can have own conversations.
Opportunities to do some fun excursions.
