Fijn hotel net buiten Ubud, midden tussen de reistvelden en jungle. Met een scooter ben je zo in Ubud. Ontzettend vriendelijk personeel.

Een stukje paradijs en een oase van rust....
Alam Ubud overtrof op alle punten onze verwachtingen: het personeel is zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam, op ieder moment van de dag en nacht. Het complex oogt mooi en wordt goed onderhouden. De kamers zijn eigenlijk meer huisjes, luxueus en comfortabel en bieden alle privacy. Prachtig uitzicht op de jungle. Het ontbijt is uitstekend en biedt voor ieder wat wils. Daarnaast biedt het restaurant ook lunch en diner aan: niet zo gevarieerd, maar ook prima. Na een dag in het drukke Ubud is het heerlijk om hier terug te keren en tot rust te komen.

Fantastisch hotel met super mooie en ruime kamers.
Alam ubud is een prachtig hotel waar je verblijft in groet, mooie en zeer ruime villa's. Inrichting heel mooi, uitzicht prachtig en zwembad heerlijk. Overal fantastisch uitzicht op het oerwoud. Het enige minpunt zijn de vele trappen. Absoluut een plek om terug te komen.

prijs van het hotel is voor wat er wordt geboden te hoog. verder is het wel heel ver van ubud vewijderd.meestal duurde de reis naar ubud 30 tot 40 minuten laat in de avond als er geen verkeer is 20 minuten. de villa lag helemaal in het dal dus veel geluid van de rivier. daar de villa in het dal stond heel erg vochtige kamer...

Staff very welcoming.. made our trip relaxing.. staff cleaned our room everyday which is a bonus and gave us a free complimentary massage which was one of the best massages ive had and very much needed with all the activities we did..going to miss the smoothie bowls for breakfast

If you are looking for a place to get away from it all and relax then this is it. The property is away from the hustle and bustle and provided while we were there a very quiet atmosphere with very few distractions. The setting by the rain forest is lovely and tranquil and the staff are very helpful and respectful. However, this property is quite a way out of the Ubud centre, around 30 minutes by car. There is no shuttle as advertised and a round trip is approx AUD $25 during the day and $35 in the evening. There is no full spa as advertised, but very lovely massages are available in your villa. There is no swim up bar functioning and the only cold alcohol in the mainbar is beer. There is no snack bar as advertised. Also the property is built on a steep slope and some of the villas are a considerable climb up and down many flights of steps that even a mountain goat may have trouble with.

Fantastic staff !! Beautiful resort pool and lobby, Spacious and private pool villa. Plenty to see in the area. We recommend renting a scooter.

Alam Ubud, like many properties appears to have been hard hit by covid and it's taking sometime to get back to having full facilities. That being said, the property is looking tired. The bed was comfortable and the staff was very accommodating. The breakfast was ok but it was not offering a shuttle to Ubud which is 15-20 south of the property. A cab would be 130k IRP. The spa was not open although they do provide in room massage( was ok but had better). Overall, it was quiet for the most part but I think I would try another property that was closer to Ubud.

Very disappointing stay. Almost no facilities were open. Spa, yoga and restaurant were closed. Free shuttle to Ubud center was also not available, which was the main reason we chose this stay given it's in the middle of nowhere. They have since removed this free shuttle in Expedia listing after we complained, but it's still advertised in other sites. It was difficult to get a ride hailing service willing to pick us up. We tried a few times around noon for about an hour before getting a driver assigned. They also had major ants issue. Pool of dead ants in the bathroom, giant ants keep appearing in any room. They used pesticide heavily, and also on the pillows! Very strong chemical smell and bad for direct han contact. It's also difficult to sleep at night because of loud tapping sound from animals in the jungle, at a rate of 5 taps a second, only at night. It's nice to hear bird chirping in the morning though. I get that they’re probably just starting to open again after Covid closure, but they need to set the right expectations for guests. If you’re advertising that you have all these kinds of facilities and activities offered, guests might be booking because of them. They didn’t do much to compensate us for the false advertisement and the bad experience we had. So this villa is for you if you: don’t mind living with lots of insects, can sleep through gunfire tapping sound, don’t mind spending the rest of your stay in your room.

First impressions lasted throughout his whole stay here. It was breathtakingly beautiful set about a 15 min drive from Ubud centre, in the jungle. The jungle was peaceful and let off the most relaxing sounds, including constant water running with the river below the property. Infinite amount of gorgeous jungle plants, well maintained facilities including 2 pools! (One next to the restaurant and one down the stairs for a more jungle/private location) the vilas were enormous for 2 people. The bathroom of Bima 8 including a beautiful spa bath and walk in shower room. Air con worked very well. The balcony was incredibly private and perfect to lay on the day bed and relax. Breakfast which was included was delicious!! Very filling! It was a set menu with 4 options so you can mix it up everyday. We had dinner there also and the prices are reasonable. Same with scooter hire (we drove around the rice paddies/small villages near the accommodation. Also to see the temples/rice terrace nearby) Highly recommend the full body massage with the relaxing sounds of the jungle outside. Endra and Leo made us feel most welcome and at home. They were great company, always wanting a genuine conversation. They and all the staff made the stay even better than we could have imagined! Couldn’t be more appreciative!!

Room had few faults, not all the lights worked, the mirror in bathroom was very old and hazy, room door couldn't close properly, all the windows was dirty which ruined the view. Sehr schöner Pool und schöne Aussicht. Die Villa war schön groß. Leider war unsere Villa nicht sehr sauber und auch nach dem wir uns beschwert haben wurde es nicht ausreichend gereinigt. Überall tote Insekten, Staub, sehr alte und teils kaputte Möbel. Die Dusche war dreckig. Beim Einlassen eines Bades, war nach einiger Zeit kein warmes Wasser mehr vorhanden, sodass weder weiter gebadet werden konnte noch geduscht. Da erwartet man mehr bei einem 4 Sterne Hotel. Das Frühstück war auch nicht gut, kleine Auswahl und kein Buffet. Insgesamt verdient das Hotel keine 4 Sterne.

非常喜欢丛林酒店，但是只有三卧室泳池别墅是不用每天上下爬楼梯，其他的爬楼梯有点点累。不过这里的丛林景色能深深吸引我。很多虫虫蚁蚁，不介意这些的话就好。 酒店餐饮价格不便宜，份量不大，加收21%服务费。早餐丰富，撑到午饭都不用吃。每天有往返交通车去乌布中心。

Tranquil Jungle Retreat
Beautiful location, very tranquil & relaxing. Staff couldn’t be more friendly and helpful. I had 2 mssage spa treatments which were amazing. Excellent restaurant and i loved the jungle setting of the villas. Hard to find anything to fault.

Hotel immerso nella giungla con piscina infinity e piscina di acqua sorgiva, davvero splendide. Il personale sempre disponibile e gentile, buono il ristorante anche se non esattamente economico per gli standard balinesi. Colazione buona e abbondante. La vista della giungla è impagabile. La privacy e la tranquillità altrettanto. La proprietà mostra alcuni piccoli segni dovuti all'età e alla difficoltà di manutenzione di un immobile dentro alla giungla, ma nulla che non possa far godere appieno della bellezza generale del posto. Non consiglio i massaggi, ci sono tante spa nei pressi con prezzi e qualità superiori!

Beautiful villas tucked away in the jungle and overlooking a river. The food at the restaurant is reasonably priced and very good. There are two pools - one is an infinity pool at the top of the property overlooking the jungle and the other is at the bottom of the property overlooking the river. The staff here is amazing as well - very friendly and helpful.

A brilliant hotel to relax
The hotel is build in a cliff and the views from the infinity pool are stunning. Our room was very clean and spacious. We had to climb 100 steps every day to go to the pool and the restaurant but it worth it! The breakfast can be improved as the variety of the buffet is poor. Friendly staff. We will definitely be back.

絶景のバリを感じるホテル
４泊５日しました。景色は最高で癒されます。スタッフも若くて感じがよく、素朴で優しいです。日本語を話すスタッフもいて、和ませてくれました。もしこのホテルがお食事がもう少し改善されたら、そして 素敵な寝具を時に日に当ててくれたら、友人に勧めたいと思いました。

Very special and good service
I can't explain by words how good it was to stay here. It's not very turistic which means much calmer and much cheaper to buy stuff. They're always available for service. Private pool and two outside pools. Love the infinity pool on the terraces.

Naturperle med alt for dyrt
Alam Ubud er en naturperle. Det ligger midt i et tropisk stykke natur med vandfald og åløb lige nedenfor hytterne. Hvis man er lidt sart med kryb, så er Alam Ubud ikke det rigtige sted. For os var det lidt for tropisk. Lyden fra vandfaldet var meget larmende og der var rig mulighed for at firben og andet kunne komme ind i hytten. Alam Ubud ligger smukt og der er helt sikkert noget særligt over placeringen og den måde hotellet er bygget op på. Hvis du/ I er gangbesværet er det heller ikke stedet, da der er meget langt fra den nederste hytte og op til receptionen. Udover alt dette, så oplevede vi ikke at standarden på billederne levede op til virkelighedens billede. Vi havde egen pool, men brugte den meget lidt, da området ikke indbød til det - virkede heller ikke ren. Alt i alt er hotellet meget unikt, men alt for dyrt. Vi har under vores ophold i Ubud boet på et andet hotel, som levede bedre op til billeder og beskrivelser, som kun kostede det halve.

Serene and natural
Only two things were less than perfect. There were ants here and there in our Villa, but that's not a surprise when so close to nature, and I wouldn't want them to be sprayed. Also, the bicycles need a full overhaul, though they were serviceable for short distance riding. The staff were great and the setting is fantastic. If you want serenity, this is an excellent choice.

Hotel impresionante
El hotel está alejado de la civilización por lo cual es totalmente tranquilo, las instalaciones muy bonitas, dos albercas y spa, un trato excelente del personal, el hotel no es caro, ofrece muchísimo mas de lo que cuesta.

sehr schönes hotel
Das Alam Ubud ist ca 15min entfernt von Ubud und befindet sich mitten im Dschungel, muss man gesehen haben! Kleines schickes Hotel, kein Touristenbunker. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, fast schon zu nett:) Der infinitypool mitten im Dschungel ist ein echtes Highlight! Breakfast war alla card, ein kleines Buffet gab es auch! Zimmer war sehr geräumig und sauber. Auf jeden Fall zum weiterempfehlen, wer sich einheimisch fühlen möchte ist hier genau richtig!!!

Needs updating
Not what you would expect when charging such high rates. Things need updating here such as the breakfast menu which has limited options and is written in a quite juvenile style; the way the rooms are kept and cleaned (mosquito net had many holes in it), etc. I have left a more detailed review on TA. Only thing that made up for this was the location which was far out of town and in a wild setting and the wonderful staff. All issues are to do with management who are clearly being lazy with the details and not updating things in keeping with the extortionate rates they charge.

We loved this hotel! Absolutely beautiful view in a great area just outside of Ubud. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. We were very happy with the service we were provided. On site spa services and restaurant! We would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful surroundings
Beautiful quiet & relaxing surroundings. The free shuttle buses are fantastic because it is a bit of drive into Ubud. Beautiful friendly staff.
