'An experience out of this world. The stars are amazing, the remoteness was epic and the tent was very nice. The one thing that I did notice was the day before they had high winds which created a lot of dust. I have asthma and noticed that the dry air and dust can impact you if you’re not used to it. 'The property is spectacular! The scenery, sunrises, sunsets, and the night sky are all beautiful. Lots of wildlife around during the evenings. Hot tub is a great way to relax after a day of hiking at Big Bend. Mark and Michelle were wonderful hosts, so friendly and helpful. RV has everything needed, including some handy extras (ziploc bags, tupperware, etc.) that you may not have as a traveler. Property is remote, about 45 minutes from Big Bend entrance, but a little extra driving is worth it.'

'We highly recommend staying at this property! We fell in love with the serenity the retreat offers and would gladly return. The drive to Big Bend is around 40 minutes making this location a good spot for travelers to the park. The retreat is fully equipped and we recommend a stop to Alpine for supplies before arriving. 'We loved escaping San Antonio to come out to Terlingua and this home made it all that much better. It was so peaceful and had everything we needed. Every night we sat on the porch and enjoyed our wine. So relaxing and we loved how quiet the area is. Perfect place for stargazing!'

'We were impressed by all the kitchen amenities. The open porch let us see so many stars which we appreciated. We saw quail and heard other wildlife at night. The rooms were comfortable. Our only suggestion for improvement is for lounge chairs, where you could lie down on the open porch, and then look at stars while lying down. The ranch was convenient to Big Bend, but it was far enough out to get away.'

'We came for the hiking and stayed for Pat O’s front porch with exceptional views! Superior location for Big Bend NP and the region. Bed is comfortable- great sleeping. 'At first the compound just looks like a small jumble of buildings but, once inside the main house, it is a warm, inviting place with spectacular views. All the creature comforts plus a fine deck so that you can see the night sky in all of its dark glory. Great location for visiting both the National and State Parks. Don't miss the Fossil museum!'

'This is a very pleasant VRBO on the Terlingua Ranch property. It’s a little hard to get to, but that’s part of the appeal. The hosts are wonderful. There is wildlife (deer, birds and fox) visible from the porch or hot tub. The Terlingua Lodge and Bad Rabbit Cafe are only about a mile away. The skies are super dark and the stars are amazing.'

'This place is beautiful. Property is beautiful. The hair didn’t send me the code so thankfully, some other tenants were able to help me get in contact with the host for my code since I had no service. There were some fleas in the shower and on the bed. disappointed for how expensive the rooms were. One unoccupied room had every light on and a massive window with no blinds, so it was frustrating when we tried to e since it ruined the darkness a bit. Besides that, it was a nice stay'
