'Top class rooms, entry, location. Very minor point, private terrace area could do with improved seating but we used our own camping chairs so not a problem. Tesco express a few yards away was excellent. An excellent spot to stay.'

'Lovely quiet location on the edge of Cartmel with good road connections to the tourist areas of the Lakes. The place was spotless and well equipped but they really do only include bedding, towels and loo roll. Whatever else you need make sure you take it with you. It lacked hanging space for clothes in the bedroom and any place to put your cases. We were surprised it was a semi detached building, we could hear a lot of noise, especially doors closing in the attached unit. I would still recommend...

'We stayed in room 11 which was lovely, decorated well and had a very large bathroom with a free standing bath. Breakfast was great with a good choice. Lisa was extremely helpful and having the option to be taken and brought back from nearby restaurants was an added touch, as well as the electric charging points'

'There seems to be no mobile phone coverage at the County Lodge Carnforth. When I arrived at 8.30pm 25/5 the door was locked shut, the place was in darkness and a note attached to the door said to phone a mobile number to gain code keys and access BUT their number failed to ring. Tried multiple times, including 100m away in 3 directions. A landline number was given on the accommodation door, this also failed to ring. 'Room was clean and comfortable with good facilities for the price. Room walls a bit thin as you could hear a lot of what was going on in the next room.'

'Property appears to have been recently made over, everything is new and fresh, extremely clean and although on the small side the rooms are perfect for overnight stays, comfortable bed and with more than enough tea/coffee supplies unlike a lot of places. The continental breakfast was excellent quality and plentiful. We could not fault the staff who were extremely friendly and helpful. Overall excellent value for money and we will definitely go back'
