'The grounds are beautiful. Well maintained. There were multiple events outside on the lawn. Breakfast at Greenfinch (?) was good and filling. The wait staff were attentive. The day we were at the pool, the cafe was closed. If you go to the pool, go early. If you wait, there may not be any chairs. We had to rent a cabana. Definitely not worth the money. In the first cabana, the TV didn’t work. In the second cabana, the fan didn’t work. We were told maintenance would come to fix it. That...

'We enjoyed our stay here. We usually have complaints about hotels but I don't think we have a single one. Our kids loved the koi pond and feeding the fish in the mornings. The food was good and staff was friendly. Everything was clean. We enjoyed the cocktail hour. We did order from the restaurant one night and while the food was good, it was $30 for a very tiny portion of meat and some polenta. That was disappointing. The pool and hot tub were great and overall it was a very nice experience.'

'Perfect location with a private beach and a wonderful swimming pool! We loved having our own fire pit on the beach, which was set up by the super friendly staff, watching the sunset and making s’mores and having great take-out food and pizza conveniently from the hotel. We’ll be back!'

'The hotel is so lovely and so are the people working there. So very kind, helpful and friendly! I’ve been to La Jolla a lot over the years, but this is by far my favorite place I’ve stayed. I definitely will be coming back and you cannot beat the location!! 5 stars all around!'

'Overall, this is a great hotel to stay at in La Jolla. It’s a prime location in the village. Everything is walkable ballet was convenient and quick. The room was small, with an awkward angled entrance at the bathroom door. The view from our room was perfect. I did find the bed to be a little bit uncomfortable. We also found it hard to regulate the temperature. With the air conditioner off, it was quite warm in the room. But with the oscillating air air-conditioning unit on, it was immediately...
