'I honestly struggle a little to understand the extremely high rating this B&B has. Don’t get me wrong, the rooms are very private and spacious, and I personally love older properties with character. However, in this case it felt like some areas were not just old, but simply in need of better maintenance. For example, the grout and finishing in the bathroom were quite worn. To me, that’s less about the age of the building and more about general upkeep. The ladies at the property were absolutely...

'We attended a wedding at St Albans we stayed at the Royal Oaks we were very comfortable great place to stay.'

'Worse shower. Need improvement.'

'Perfecte accommodatie voor onze doorreis! Proper! Zwembad, bbq, sauna, bubbelbad, allemaal heel leuk!'

'Nice place, it’s actually one room in a large house. Toilet and shower are shared between a couple of rooms, it’s ambiguous in the room description. Still a decent price for the area. '

'Some stain on the blanket. Friendly staff.'

'All was good except for the shower, very poor water pressure which needs lots of improvement !'

'I didnt like not having a parking spot when i arrived late at night , then parked in the street then worried about my expensive staff in my car so i brought it back in the carpark but i could only park in the disabled .'

'Good sized room, easy parking and clean. Good value for money.'

The gym area is spacious but doesn't have any treadmills or rowing machines. The room was large and mostly clean and updated but feels dated. The tiled area at the entrance was dirty. The bathroom was modernised but smelled awful. The breakfast fridge was great. Noodles, yoghurt, cereal, fresh fruit, nut bars, flavoured milk,...
