'Great place to stay on a working farm. Room was spacious with a good kitchenette. There is a small, well stocked store to buy food/drinks onsite which is helpful as the location is not near shops. Location is great being right near the walking and cycling trails. '

'Lovely quiet village not far from Thirsk and the A1(M). A friendly welcome and a clean comfortable room. We booked for dinner and the food was delicious and service equally friendly. A 10 minute walk after dinner to the abbey ruins down the road was a nice surprise. Great bed and tasty breakfast. All in all an enjoyable place to stop over on the way up to the Lake District. Only down side was that we couldn't connect to their internet.'

'Valentino’s is an absolute gem! Fabulous staff who were friendly and super courteous.
The rooms are thoughtfully furnished, very clean and with quality toiletries.
We ate here too, it was no problem to set up a table outside for us, the food was fantastic!
Breakfast too did not disappoint with amazing polite service and Italian food to die for!
Will definitely find an excuse to go back to Ripon so that I can stay here again!! '

Restaurant offered good classic italian food at sensible prices. Breakfast fantastic italian inspired dishes which were well presented and a welcome change from the usual predictable offerings. Staff were well trained and pleasant. '

'The room were clean, comfortable and well appointed with tea and coffee facilities. Bathroom was spotless with shower gel and shampoo provided and extra large fluffy bath sheets. A little warm due to excessive summer temperatures, however fans and air conditioning units were provided. Fresh milk and cold drinking water and ice was available at the bar which was a nice touch. We didn’t end up eating in the restaurant due to complicated dietary requirements, however everything looked delicious....
