The Ole' Farmhouse

This beautiful home sits on 25 acres and is less than one mile form Lake Jackson State Park. Hot Tub all the amenities you could want. Lots of woods, 2 ponds, and open areas to do outdoor activities. Easy drive to shops and restaurants. We are in the heart of Amish Country where you will find Bakeries Shops Greenhouse and other unique finds. You wont find a more spacious property around to rent. Firepit Grill and outdoor seating. The attention to detail is unmatched
We are an easy drive to Hocking Hills, Lake Alma, Lake Rupert, Lake Logan, Lake Katherine. We have Kayaks you can rent for Lake Jackson even delivery and pickup service with advance notice. You will not find a nicer nightly rental this place is over the top. You can make a vacation out of just staying on the property exploring. We also own a Venue at the opposite end of the property with great outside places to take pictures etc... If you like getting out in the country you wont regret this. There are grocery and gas stations 3 miles away in the Village of Oak Hill. Or you can head to the county seat of Jackson about 20 minutes away where you will find local restaurants or brewery and a selection of different retail. There is a pond behind this property and another at the Venue. We also rent kayaks with or without delivery to use on Lake Jackson.

The owner has equipped the vacation rental with amenities to make your stay more enjoyable. Unfortunately, we cannot refund monies or relocate guests due to any of these (TV, VCR, DVD, gas log fireplace, jetted tub, hot tub, pool table, gaming system, small appliances, etc.) not working or malfunctioning. No refunds will be made for acts of God, loss of electrical power, water, air conditioning, or cable outages. In the event of a mechanical failure, we will make every effort to have all reported malfunctions corrected as promptly as possible. All our properties are privately owned.

We supply enough consumables such as toilet paper, paper towels, dishwasher pods, laundry det, trash bags etc...to get started. If you have multiple guests, long stays, or use a lot of these items be prepared to bring your own or pickup at one of the local convenience stores nearby. We do not restock these items while being rented.

Beautiful countryside. Very peaceful. The pond, nicely manicured yard, and fresh blackberries were an unexpected treat.

I rented this property for 3 nights with my family. We pulled up to the house and the dumpster was overflowing and trash everywhere. We were out front starting the grill and my girls were about to get into the hot tub when a lady pulls in to throw her trash in the dumpster the sits out front of the house, later that evening a man comes to water the flowers for two of the three days. The listing details claim to have 25 acres to enjoy well that Saturday we headed over too the other pond for pictures and there was a party of 20 cars on the property that I had rented to enjoy! We had no privacy and we will not be back!

Nicest place we've stayed around the area. Rustic feel but with all modern things you'd want. Five minutes from a small town or 20 from a bigger one. Only "negative" would be the porch is visible from the road...but there's hardly any traffic and they have a privacy curtain if it bothers you. Honestly couldnt ask for anything more, it has everything you would need to just live there!

Thank you for sharing your place with us, we enjoyed the cozy bonfire, fishing, great deck, clean space and hot tub! Being 1 hour away from Kentucky, West Virginia and Hocking Hills meant a lot of exploring and we loved being in the middle of Amish country. We would definitely rebook. Beds were comfy, and communication was quick and friendly.

Such a beautiful and clean place! It’d be great to see a toaster, blender, more baking dishes and place settings in the kitchen, as well as dvds and games (they were referenced but not in the coffee table.
