But possible disappointment by entering the premises is immediately forgotten after meeting with the owner/hotelmanager and tasting the food he serves. He really cares about people and makes you soon feel at home. Value for price too!'

'Almost a new feel and look to the Hotel. The room was quite spacious, clean and the bed very comfortable. Bathroom was also spacious, with premium shower gels, shampoo and soft towels. Would Recommend'

'The hotel was fine but broken reading light (reported but no action), paper ordered but then forgotten, buggy often late. On first night no information about the buggies - choice between steep steps or so called “ramp”which was a lounge winding and very steep path. With heart condition very difficult. Room in Oakham faced blank wall - should have been warned. Universally nice staff but overall a bit lackadaisical.'

'We booked this hotel merely for the location. The staff were great, the hotel is a little dated but room was comfortable and clean, the thing for me was the smell when we returned to the hotel later in the evening, it was a stale fried food smell that was all through the hotel. Breakfast was good but not sure I’d stay again. '
