The breakfast was excellent, and the rooms comfortable. The rooms felt quite opulent, with large mirrors, stained glass, pretty décor, a well-stocked ensuite bathroom, and deep beds. 'We had a wonderful stay at the shepards hut. The heating and lights had been put on reasy for our arrival as we were later than the check in time . Carol the owner had messaged me earlier in the day with directions which was a nice welcome. She had also given us a lovely recommendation for somewhere to eat that evening. The pool had been in use when we arrived and we were told we would only be able to use after 7:30pm and pool closed at 8:00pm, which was disappointing as it was one of the reasons for booking this hotel. 'An enjoyable stay, use of the spa being free as a guest, 2 hour booking having the spa to ourselves was extra special, weather this be the same if hotel was busy, spa pool was quite small would have been quite full. Staff friendly and courteous. Highly recommend the Coctails, a little pricy, reduce to £9 as £13 bit steep, we would have had more.!
