'I loved everything about Rose Arden. I had a very comfortable overnight stay in a single room in a lovely home that was perfect for my visit with an old friend who lived nearby. It was great value and in a beautiful quiet location with an amazing view. The host couldn't have been more helpful. And the breakfast was wonderful. If I visit Hamilton again I’ll definitely want to stay at Rose Arden.'

'The hotel is nice..staff and room wonderful. The hotel has a restaurant but is not open at this time. Hotel is not near anywhere to get a decent coffee or breakfast. You are paying the same price as many hotels who offer either a breakfast(free or pay) or are beside a Tim Hortons. Will not return until restaurant is open.'

'I did like the location of this hotel. it was right downtown Hamilton. Very near the Jackson Square mall. And it has a (expensive) parking garage. And some of the staff where very nice,polite and helpfull. But that was about it in a positive way. Now for the downsides: They don't accept cash, till you say: I only have cash... A hotel is not a car rental. Hotels should accept cash. Period. There are only 2 elevators for 16 floors. Very long waiting time for the elevators. Imagine when 1 elevator...

'The room layout and the staffing were superb, and the other amenities were done in a thoughtful way. As a first-time visitor, I found that the parking instructions for check-in were unclear and there should have been a curb cut for 2 more vehicles to accommodate check-in. I had to park on the street and walk 2 blocks in order to check-in.'

'Room had strong smell of vinegar, I asked the desk why and they told me that is was the air conditioner good thing it was a cold rainy day had to turn it off , room was clean but all night there was slamming doors , and people yelling and talking in the hallway , Did not eat in restaurant'

'The price was the best of a bad lot. Even cheap hotels with no amenities feel free to gouge. They charge the maximum for a security deposit. The single employee at the desk was very accommodating, but for a poor business. Everything looked clean, we hope it really was. In a room with 2 queen beds, there was 1 skinny “towel” (rag, really) in the bath. No bath mat. No cups provided for teeth brushing or drinking. Telephone was a broken ancient model so we couldn’t call for our needs. No hangers...

'Stayed here for one night with husband on route to a Provincial campground so we wouldn’t have to set up in the rain. Selected this hotel based on reviews, which we found were accurate. Very friendly, welcoming front desk. We rented a suite with small kitchenette, couch, fireplace, two person jacuzzi which was a pleasant surprise!! We felt like dining in room but there was no menu or signs saying room service was available. Phoned the resto and a friendly young lady rushed a menu to our room. We...

'Nice hotel at a convenient location next to the highway exit. Immediate surroundings are nothing interesting. Swimming pool was nice for our morning swim sessions. In the room, i knocked my head multiple times in the shower point. '

'The reception staff was very welcoming and aprochable. However, the pool was broken and the water was very cold. In general, everything was good expept for the staff that works at the breakfast, there atitude was awful, the seem upset all the time am not very nice with the customers.'
