'The room that I checked into had pluming issues with the bathtub. After I brought it to the attention of the staff on duty, she went above and beyond to relocate me and my daughter into another room. The entire front desk receptionist staff were very nice and helpful. I would definitely recommend this Holiday Inn to friends and family members. '

One items of concern was the bathroom shower floor didnt have the safety trips on the tub floor making it very slippery I put a towel on floor as to not slip and fall BUT EVERYTHING WAS GREAT OTHERWISE'

'The property was an older Days Inn, was clean and staff was friendly. I did have a problem with the shower dripping and brought that to their attention, which they will rectify after my stay (plumbing problem). Breakfast was non existent. The location was great for what we were doing.'

I get it. Its the Finger Lakes. Rich folk. Wine Country. ALL the rooms are expensive. The price of the room for what you get? Not awesome. It's a non-smoking facility, but the place smelled of cigarette smoke (the room at least didn’t). I walked to my room, and another guest was straight up smoking away down the hall.

'This hotel was perfect for our needs. We booked it within an hour of arriving. We had our Golden Retriever dog with us, and it cost an extra $20.00 for her, which we thought was reasonable. The hotel was adequate and had a refrigerator in it (which was unplugged when we entered but cooled down quickly once we plugged it in). I would recommend this if you have kids and/or a dog. '

'34 State is simply a gorgeous 18th century (?) home furnished and decorated with impeccable period style! Tasteful and elegant guest suites, great linens, wonderful help-yourself amenities in a thoughtfully stocked pantry. All of this steps away from the storybook lakefront village of Skaneateles. Just a delight for a weary traveler!'

Tasteful and elegant guest suites, great linens, wonderful help-yourself amenities in a thoughtfully stocked pantry. All of this steps away from the storybook lakefront village of Skaneateles. 'We had a wonderful stay here! A perfect size stay for 3 friends getting away for a day at the spa and a day shopping and eating around town. The sidewalk picks up right before the accommodation so it's a really nice walk to the center of town! Easy check-in and had everything we needed. '

It looks to be outside of Skaneateles and technically that is true, but it is 5 minute drive next to the lake with beautiful homes, etc. The building itself is beautiful, old but with a lovely aesthetic.
