'Stayed here many times but disappointed the room (carpet) didn't look clean, bathroom, this is only room with a bath and this will be the third time I've had this room and the bath taps don't work you can only use the shower. Previously I've had water in the room but not this time. Didn't look like the tea, coffee, etc. had been topped up'

'The rooms come with the charm of an old building, so you will have improvise a little. But possible disappointment by entering the premises is immediately forgotten after meeting with the owner/hotelmanager and tasting the food he serves. He really cares about people and makes you soon feel at home. Value for price too!'

'Nice hotel in quiet location with lovely outside area. One member of hotel staff unhelpful when we advised that the WiFi was unavailable. Good evening meal, breakfast offered a reasonable choice but cooked option wasn’t great. Good hotel for the money though.'

'Lovely spacious room with milk in a fridge and real coffee bags. Comfy bed and super shower. Breakfast was a help yourself to croissant and butter. Would've been good to have had a more healthy option. Such as fruit and/or yogurt in the fridge. Only issue really was the wifi. Couldn't get the TV to work in the morning, and in th3 evening it dropped out a lot. Other than that it was a very comfortable stay. Thank you.'

'We were put in the annex roof room which had suffered earlier water damage. While we understand that Victorian houses are not the same as today's the stairs were extremely narrow and dangerous, especially when carrying suitcases. The windows also need replacing, the double glazing was a manual effort'
