I appreciated the pillow menu, which allowed us to choose pillows to suit our comfort. 'This Hostel is constructed & designed like a beautiful boutique hotel, with comfy common space to hang out. Henry, the key staff person who is usually on site is super friendly and helpful. Tamsui is a great place - 45" train to Taipei, but on the coast & close to nature & hot springs. YES is at a central but quiet location. Highly recommend!'

'We were not expecting this place to be as great as it is. The staff was friendly and helpful. The restaurants were unexpectedly good with great food and views of the mountain. The onsen was a great experience. Just be prepared to have your Western views about nudity challenged (the onsen is nude only. No bathing suits allowed). Just one thing, the staff will tell you the in-suite onsen takes 20-ish minutes to cool down to a temperature that won't scald you. It was closer to an hour. '

'Very clean room with up to date amenities. Both in-room and public hot spring pools are in excellent codition and very enjoyable to use.'

'Nice little accommodation. Owner is nice but very direct. I can see why some people might take it as a bit rude but he was very helpful.
