Wordt elke ochtend wakker in Pacific Ocean Blue in dit prachtige huis van Cape Meares, een all-seizoenenvlucht aan de noordkust van Oregon met een terras en een leefruimte met uitzicht op het water, een vuurplaats en een gasbarbecue voor barbecues in de achtertuin, en gemakkelijke toegang tot wandelen naar het strand slechts vier straten verderop!

Wat is in de buurt:
Dit huis met twee verdiepingen bevindt zich op de Cape Meares, op slechts een korte, geleidelijk aflopende wandeling van het prachtige strand. Je hebt een kano om op Cape Meares Lake een blok naar het noorden af te leggen (vervoer voor de kano is niet voorzien), evenals strandstoelen, zandspeelgoed en een clam gun om te gebruiken op de oceaan. Dit huis is ook slechts drie mijl ten noorden van de vuurtoren van Cape Meares en het uitzichtpunt State Scenic, acht mijl ten noordwesten van het centrum van Tillamook, en 10 mijl ten westen van de beroemde Tillamook Creamery.

We loved our stay here. The neighborhood was quiet, and the view from the great room was beautiful. The home is lovely. It's laid out really well, is very clean, and comfortable. We had difficulty getting into the house on check-in. Our code didn't work. We had to use the key to get in and out and had a lot of difficulty with the deadbolt slipping when we tried to lock and unlock the door. The mattresses also should be replaced; they sagged in the middle.

The property was nice and clean and location was great! But it was not well stocked. We had a group of 6 and there was only one kitchen trash bag, a tiny dish soap and very minimal seasonings. We had to make a trip back to Tillamook to restock basics which was really frustrating for a short get away. Also the tv was unusable other than very old VHS, no cable and a few apps that wouldn’t load. It was a bummer for kids in a rainy day. With a few upgrades it would be a lovely spot.

Quiet neighborhood, clean 2 bedroom house. Worked great for 2 couples. Well furnished, but did not have laundry detergent or Kleenex Has a television, but could not connect to anything to watch. Needs instructions for guests.

The house was lovely, the neighborhood was great. We called for assistance with the TV and the technician that came wore his shoes in the house they were muddy and left muddy prints on the carpet that we had to clean up. It was really disappointing that he wasn’t aware of the no shoe policy in the house we didn’t recognize the mud on the shoes until after he left.

First family trip to the Oregon Coast! Splendid! We loved, loved our stay in Cape Meares and felt like we had our own personal beach. The home was lovely. Went to Short Beach, the lighthouse, Munson Creek Falls, the Blue Heron, and Tilamook Creamery. Enjoyed it all!

The house was as advertised on the website to a T . Great location and very comfortable. Great view of the ocean from the deck. A short walk to the beach. The property management could pay closer attention to the cleanliness. Although it wasn’t bad, it could have been better. Will be back again.

This property is in a beautiful spot and is basically as described in the listing--it's a great place to spend a relaxing vacation on the Oregon Coast. That said, the property management leaves a bit to be desired. The problem started when I didn't receive a code to get into the property. I sent the manager a message through VRBO about 36 hours before the beginning of the reservation and didn't get a response. Then I got a text message (purporting to be from the manager) saying that the house had been cleaned. I responded to the text, asking about the code, but still didn't get a reply. It took about 45 minutes on the phone with VRBO (a few hours before we were going to leave town) to sort out that mess. Once we got to the property, there were only a few small problems. First, the instructions we got from the manager contained the wrong wifi password. I again responded to the text message asking about the wifi, but received only silence in response (eventually we discovered a small piece of paper in the dining room with the correct password). The property was advertised as including a DVD player. There were actually 2 DVD players, both of which were broken. While mildly annoying (given the price we paid), these problems certainly didn't prevent us from having a great time. I'm left with the impression that this is a pure investment property, with contract management that isn't particularly focused on the guest experience. That's not to say you shouldn't rent this place--it's comfortable and the location can't be beat. But if you have a choice between this and a comparable property that's owner-managed, go with the other one.

Our family of six (My wife and I and four children) stayed here for Spring Break (late March) 2018. The home met or exceeded our expectations. The location within a few blocks of the beach and adjacent to the forest is amazing. There were deer traipsing through the yard and a herd of elk bedded down in a meadow nearby. The beds are comfortable. The kitchen is fully stocked and spacious. If you plan to watch many movies, make sure to bring your own DVDs or use the RedBox in town. The in-home DVD library has only a few movies, but there are ten or twelve VHS tapes (mostly classic Disney animated features) as well.

Friends and I stayed at this home and had a very enjoyable weekend! Town is quiet and beach is beautiful! Wonderful area to walk around nature....but quite far to restaurants, but for secluded area this is sweet! Not updated, but windows everywhere which is my favorite!

I needed a local place to stay while working in Cape Mears and this was a great option. I was able to come back after a day working on my lot and feeling like I was coming home in terms of being able to have all of the amenities of home. The garage was great too: I did not have to worry about leaving my tools and toys out at night. While there was no TV reception and the bedding was a little tired, overall it was a very comfortable week.

Had a great time. House was clean and very cozy. The only downfall is there were additional guests on the kitchen counters . . . sugar ants. Loved the view from the deck. The house in front blocks a little bit, but you can still see a great view. Would definitely stay again. Thanks for letting my family into your home.

We stayed 5 nights here, and found the accommodations quite satisfying. Athough we had an issue operating the upstairs shower, the Vacasa rental folks were very responsive and able to handle the situation quickly. I think it might be helpful for them to add a note in the bathroom about operation of the shower, as it is not that intuitive. There are little notes throughout the house about how to use or tend to different things, and those were appreciated. Small issue - maybe a new bed/mattress in the upstairs bedroom. It is so soft, and we found ourselves always rolling to the center. Also, replace sheets. The elastic is gone and the fitted sheet doesn't stay put. During our stay we enjoyed the short walk to the beach access area. It feels very secluded and private, and there were few other people wandering around down there. And the neighbors were friendly but not intrusive. The neighborhood is well-kept and feels safe and comfortable to be walking in. There was just enough to do. We took a fishing charter out of Garibaldi, visited the lighthouse, toured Tillamook Cheese Factory, and hiked out to Munson Falls, among many other excursions. Havng a cozy home with a functional fireplace to return home to each afternoon was a blessing! We would definitely stay here again if we return to the area.

The house was great and fit all of our needs. The beach is only a short walk away and you will enjoy the quiet, peaceful scenery. This beach area is not packed like Cannon Beach with lots of tourists, so if you are looking for a quiet area this house is great.
