'The room I had was great for traveling with dogs as I got a bottom floor room. However, everything smelled like chemicals. Not like freshly cleaned but almost like a garage. Even the bedding had a smell. The bathtub looked newer and the fixtures were new and clean. The floor was cracked and dirty. Breakfast was good and the area to eat was clean. Great location and good value but one night stay was prob the right amount of time to spend there.'

'This property technically had what was needed, but it was very, very bare minimum. For instance - 3 towels for 4 people is not sufficient, and there was not an extra pillow or extra blanket to be found. We have 2 teenagers and 1 slept on the couch. We didn’t even have an extra blanket to give him - which was a bummer. Luckily, we had some extra sweatshirts with us. But - we were only there 1 night so we made it work, any more than that and it would not have worked for us. '

It was nice to return to after a long day at Starved Rock.I messed up when reserving the dates and was unable to modify them on my end, and the host was fantastic about working with me on that end, which I really appreciate. Great communication and seamless check-in.'
