'The room was clean, sizeable and the jetted spa bath absolutely superb. But that’s where it ends. We stayed in what was called the “modern” suite, a kitsch and garishly designed suite that was a far cry from “modern” in today’s standards. Where it really fell short was the experience and service. Originally opting for Sisu around the corner, we felt we should dine at the restaurant given we were staying as guests and that we could support this local establishment. We waited 1 hour and 15...

'Worst place to stay! After a 30 day trip in all of NZ this was the worst. The food was terrible, the customer service unacceptable. I would do a day hike in the park and have the water taxi take you back to Kaiteriteri '

'The view was just beautiful of the harbor. The room was clean and very comfortable. Nicely furnished, interesting artwork. It’s above a cafe, so convenient for morning coffee. Easy walk up from the ferry terminal and close to a lovely little park. Walking distance to shops and dining. Would certainly recommend and would book again. '

'The room we were in, James Cook, was wonderful. Clean, well equipped, comfortable, with a lovely deck. It was also great to have breakfast provided each day. Steffan and Michelle are fantastic hosts. Warm, proactive, helpful, and fun. I highly, highly recommend this place.'
