'I was under the impression Fawlty Towers was situated in Torquay, but the complete cast can be found in Bournemouth. Avoid this hotel like the plague. Bathrooms are dirty, old fashioned in the wrong sense of the word and incredibly cramped (room sizes are misrepresented on booking sites). The wiring looked dangerous. Hotel service is non-existent. Most rooms are small and look out over concrete and the parking lot. Corridors have a damp smell and the carpets inside and outside the rooms are...

'The breakfast menu is good. Property has own free parking. Good localisation. Not far to Ryde Esplanade and town center. '

'Logistically superb - lots of walks, beach, at low tide you can go rock pooling etc. Bus stop right outside - which when the weather isn't great is a useful option to get around. There are small bus routes that loop certain areas - and you get a running commentary so worth jumping on. Hotel is fabulous - views are amazing, food is delicious, and good value, room were exceptional (you must like the sound of the sea) and the staff are kind, informative and go above and beyond. '

'Charming and character-full hotel with lovely Enid Blyton memorabilia for those of us who have fond memories of growing up with her stories. The location is beautiful, across the road from the ocean and beaches, along with several excellent walks. My room was very comfortable and cosy with nice updates, although part of the charm of the hotel is its age which does show in some of the common areas. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful, although a few more healthy options would be appreciated for...
