Just 34 minutes from Ballarat, Crossing Pines by Tiny Away is one of Victoria’s charming holiday homes, offering a cozy retreat in Trawalla—a region known for its Merino sheep pastures. This family-friendly accommodation features expansive views, a private balcony, and the soothing sounds of nature—inviting you to slow down and reconnect with the outdoors.
Spend your days exploring nearby attractions like Sovereign Hill, Lake Wendouree, and the Ballarat Botanical Gardens. In the evening, enjoy a barbecue, relax by the fire pit, and share stories under the stars – the perfect way to end a day of adventure.
A cozy 139-square-foot tiny home sits in the quiet back paddock, away from the main house. Complete with easy access to water, split air conditioning, a kitchenette with cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities. These amenities include an eco-friendly cassette toilet with a removable waste holding tank, hand basin, and gas-heated shower.
Guest Access:
Guests will have access to our cozy tiny home located in a fenced paddock. Please be cautious when walking around, as the farm animals may try to wander. Do not open any gates without prior permission.
During your stay, feel free to meet and feed the friendly animals. Hand-feed the sheep or feed the ducks as they come over to greet you—it’s a fun way to experience farm life.

Crossing Pines by Tiny Away is a peaceful getaway in the countryside of Trawalla, just 34 minutes from Ballarat. It's a great spot to explore local attractions like Sovereign Hill, Lake Wendouree, and the Ballarat Botanical Gardens. You can also visit the Art Gallery of Ballarat or enjoy family-friendly activities at the Ballarat Wildlife Park and Ballarat Tramway Museum.
Ararat, just 35 minutes away, is a great spot for history, nature, and culture. You can visit museums like J Ward, Gum San Chinese Heritage Centre, and Langi Morgala Museum, then enjoy the beauty of Ararat Hills Regional Park or Grampians National Park.

By public transport:
- The closest train station is on the Vline and is Bauford about 5 minutes away.
