The position is very good, nice view towards the harbour (in our case). The waterboiler had old teabags in it. There where several mix-ups with our room, 2 times our keycards where not working. In the end we had to go 4 times to the reception to solve stuff in our 3 day stay.

It is a very pleasant hotel with good facilities. The only thing I want to mention is that breakfast ends early at 09:00 am.

centraal gelegen, avondmaaltijd inbegrepen
Het Clarion hotel Aurora ligt zeer centraal aan de kade van de haven op loopafstand van alles wat je in Tromso zou willen doen. De winkels, de musea, de Arctic cathedral; je kan het allemaal van hier belopen. Onze kamer was niet erg groot (19 m2) , maar was schoon en had een uitstekend bed. De kamer heeft geen kast; we leefden vanuit de koffer; ook is er geen safe deposit box in de kamer. Wel fraai sanitair met lekkere vloerverwarming en een goede douche. Pompflesjes rituals handenwas en shampoo. Je kan het raam open zetten voor wat frisse lucht; de verwarming is goed bij te regelen. We kregen op ons verzoek direct een extra kussen. Het ontbijt was uitgebreid, erg smakelijk, goede kwaliteit producten, ruime keuze. 's avonds werd een "complimentary dinner" aangeboden; we wisten vooraf niet goed wat we daarvan moesten verwachten, maar dit is echt een voortreffelijk diner buffet met soep, meerdere salades, brood en een prima warme maaltijd. Alles in overvloed. De meeste gasten gaan 's avonds nog weg op excursie naar het noorderlicht; dus om 18.00 uur zit de eetzaal vol, en tegen 19.00 uur is iedereen al weer weg. Als je hier boekt hoef je echt geen extra kosten meer te maken voor een restaurant. Wat wel tegen viel was de sauna; deze bereikte met moeite de 60 graden en dat vonden we erg jammer en is ook niet zoals het hoort. De jacuzzi op het dak was gesloten; ook dat was natuurlijk jammer. Al met al waren we echter zeer tevreden over het hotel, goede prijskwaliteit

Aanrader!
Rond de kerstdagen hebben we 8 nachten in dit hotel verbleven en het is erg goed bevallen! Nette ruime kamer, met zithoekje. Sauna en bubbelbad op het dak van het hotel met prachtig uitzicht. Hele goede locatie: in het centrum met mooi uitzicht op de pier. Een andere reden om voor dit hotel te kiezen is het eten: is is smorgens een uitgebreid ontbijtbuffet, elke middag kan je zelf wafels bakken en elke avond simpel dinerbuffet (een soep, hoofdmaaltijd en verschillende salades). Dit is erg gunstig aangezien de prijzen voor eten en drinken hoog zijn in Noorwegen. Wij hebben genoten!

Centraal gelegen met goede koffie en thee in de lobby. Eén min puntje: praktsch geen opbergruimte voor linnengoed voor 2 personen. Personeel zeer behulpzaam. Zou zeker terugkeren!

This was my 2nd time to Tromso,the last being in November of last year. On both occasions I chose a Clarion Hotel, two next to each other. Whilst this one did not have views from the rooms looking out to the Artic Cathedral this did not matter. The hotel was only a few steps away from the harbor. Whilst all the staff I met were very welcoming the young female Filipino on the front desk went the extra mile sourcing a plug to fit my uk items. She is a credit in providing excellent customer service and sure a credit to your hotel and company. I will definitely be back and will only chose a Clarion Hotel. I could not fault the restaurant, all the meals they provided including the afternoon coffee and cake are a nice touch at no extra cost. The public areas could do with a touch up but this is minor to the excellent hospitality provided each time. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel or its sister one next door if you are planning a trip to Tromso.

I liked having dinner included for all guests as well as breakfast, tea and cake in the afternoon and tea/coffee available 24/7. This really made a difference in a city where eating out is generally expensive. The hotel was very clean and quiet, and the beds comfortable. The staff were pleasant, friendly and helpful.

The food is very good and is included! The sauna and jacuzzi are a great plus. Staff is very nice and helpful, the location is unbeatable. However rooms are a little small and it needs new carpets and some painting of the doors etx around the halls of the rooms.

Our stay was for 6 nights in total, we were pleasantly surprised by the included meals and friendly staff. We were able to book all of our excursions through Magic Tromso right in the hotel lobby and were able to do everything we wanted to book last minute. I highly recommend this hotel for the location and cost. The only downfall was that the hot tub wasn’t included in the booking. It was a small added fee which I must have overlooked on their website.

Hotel Aurora it certainly was!
Room was nice, bed was comfortable and food was great (and free!) Could have had more vegetarian options available but couldn’t really complain. Even managed to see the northern lights from our bedroom window.

Very friendly and professioall staff. Good location. EXTREMELY overpriced. Old and worn down hotel. Bed was broken, windows small, plugs not attached to wall. Food was very good though.

Überall sehr freundliches Personal, besonders beim Frühstück und beim Abend Buffet. Deutschsprachige Angestellte zeitweise an der Rezeption, ansonsten ging auch alles auf Englisch. Vom Hotel aus kann man alles zu Fuß erreichen, auch Ausflugsmöglichkeiten werden von dort aus geboten. Wir kommen wieder!

Ótimo custo-benefício e ótimo restaurante
Ótimo custo-benefício. Apesar de não ser um dos hotéis mais baratos da região, o café da manhã, lanche da tarde (bolo e chá) e o jantar estão incluídos na diária. Isso ajuda muito, pois comer fora (ou mesmo comprar no supermercado) pode ser bem caro. E as comidas oferecidas pelo hotel são deliciosas! A região do hotel é muito boa, bem localizado, perto de supermercado, restaurantes, pontos de ônibus e dos principais pontos de encontro dos passeios oferecidos por empresas de turismo. Atendimento pela gerente foi bom, e pelo rapaz que auxiliar a marcar os passeios.

Absolutely amazing hotel, super clean, staff are so friendly and helpful. Hot tub is lovely, gym is great, food is so yummy - I have allergies and the staff didn’t hesitate to cook me something I could eat. Great location and free hot drinks always on offer! Best hotel I’ve ever been too!

Great experience
Great experience. Hotel is very central and in walking distance to main attraction sites. Specially in winter this is very convenient. We enjoyed the jacuzzi very much. Food was very good, with many options both at breakfast and dinner. The free coffee and tea all day were a plus also.

Great stay
This was our second stay at the Clarion Hotel Aurora, and it was as good as the first. Comfortable beds, good shower. The all-inclusive breakfast and dinner is a great selling point; loads of choice for breakfast, slightly more limited at dinner ( especially if you are vegetarian/vegan). The staff are very friendly and accommodating, especially the restaurant and kitchen staff who work tirelessly to keep the restaurant clean and the food plentiful.

My room 329 was next to maid service. Linenn carts right across my room. Bath tub is high to get in and out. Has to pump shampoo and conditioners. In lieu of cleaning the hotel donates to climate fund. Very laudable

Fint hotel med god beliggenhed
Fint hotel med super beliggenhed. Meget venligt personale både i front desk og restauranten. Afslappe atmosfære. Morgenmad var super. Eftermiddagskaffe pg aftensmad var middel - men rigtig fint når man bare var kold og træt og i vandrestøvler :)
