'A perfect lake retreat for a larger group. Excellent location on Smith Mountain Lake, including dock, paddle boards, heated pool & hot tub. The beds are the most comfortable sleeping mattresses I have ever slept on while traveling. The home is beautiful and the views amazing. Close to shopping, wineries and restaurants. Definitely is a true vacation.'

'Access for the lake was not good. Would have appreciated steps or, walkway or a railing. My husband is in heart failure an he only got to get in the boat once. Because of the climb. Because we could not use the awning it would have been nice to have an umbrella for the table. The house was beautiful, however it would have been nice to have a TV in each bedroom. There were no dishcloth to wash dishes as the rack in the dishwasher is broken. No trash bags. Hand soap in only the downstairs...

'Being forced to step away from all electronics my husband and I got to relax and have an amazing time in front of the beautiful mountains and under the amazing view of the stars. Christine met us when we arrived and she was so sweet!! We are planning our return to enjoy another season on the mountain tops!'

'The way the owners have the property setup is fantastic. Big TVs, grill, fire ring, bar on dock with TV, etc. Whether you want to lounge in the shade, go out on the lake, or watch the big game it’s setup great. Quality bumpers and cleats on dock to protect your boat. Nice house. Comfortable beds. Nice bathrooms. We’ve been coming to SML for 20 years and this is the best house we have stayed in.'

'We loved our stay. The view is breathtaking, the house is very comfortable and the city is adorable! Can’t wait to go back in the summer. My pup had a wonderful time playing outdoor by the fire pit, and my toddler enjoyed running on the huge yard and watching the train go by at the foot of the mountain! 'Eight of us rented the house for a wine trip through the Bedford area for a weekend. It was the perfect setting for our group. The kitchen was big enough for all of us to cook together. The beds were comfortable, easy communication, and there was plenty of room. The only issue we had was that some of our group wanted to watch the final four basketball games and some did not, and there is only 1 tv. A small price to pay for a wonderful weekend!! 'The house was beautiful. Very clean and tidy! So much was provided for us. And the communication was wonderful. We didn’t LOVE the street it was on BUT we would go back again in a heart beat. Only 5 minutes from great restaurants, coffee places and the children’s museum. Again the house was so great!'

'This was a last minute booking. One snafu with Vacasa with them not being able to verify my ID via DL but with a quick phone call that was corrected. The home itself is nice and has plenty of space and amenities. The decibel reader is a little off-putting but I understand with VA laws being the way they are. Overall, it was a nice stay.'
