The room looked clean, but as it turned out, the floor had never been washed for over price cleaning fee charged, as evidenced by the hairpin was found on the floor from the previous tenants. 'We enjoyed this cozy cabin. It is well-stocked and nicely updated. The bedrooms are fairly spread out (the primary bedroom is on the third level and the other two side-by-side bedrooms are on the entry level), which worked well for us, offering privacy upstairs a separate space for teens below. 'Kitchen was great. Overall great location. The furniture was a bit dated. A bit dusty. No A/C. The only major issue we had was the place was infested with spiders of all sizes and colors. Had several drop down on webs in front of us while sitting at the dining room table. Found a few who had set up a nice big web in some of the corners of the hallway and rooms. Had a spider drop down on the bed while sitting in it. Made us uncomfortable to sleep. The place needs regular pest control spraying...

'We had a wonderful stay at this home in Northstar! The spot looks like it have been renovated recently, has comfortable beds, and a great open living / dining room one the top floor. The kitchen is stocked with everything you might need to cook as well. It is a short walk to the rec center and hiking trails. There are buses that can be taken from the rec to King's Beach and Truckee is only 10-15 minutes away as well. We came in the summer but it is probably even better in the winter if you like...
