'A clean, efficient unit, much like a small apartment. Has a stove top, microwave and small kitchen to prepare simple meals or heat up things. About a 10min walk to the train station and a short wall to a bus stop and family mart. It is a walk up so you will need to climb stairs to your unit. The bathroom is like new and the bed is comfortable. '

'Location, location, location! The property is located near all tourist locations. 25-30min walk from train station. 5-10 min from castle, gardens and samurai district. There is a beautiful shrine across the street. You’re also less than 5 min walk from the Omicho fish market. The staff were attentive to our needs. Would highly recommend it.'

'We love our stay at Kazueya! It gave us a chance to truly experience the ryokan and how locals live. We especially enjoyed the peaceful night in our surroundings :) In addition, one of the staffs (a young lady) at Pacific hotel was super helpful. Due to the language barrier, she helped me to get bus tickets to shirakawago and to Takayama. I can't thank her enough for that! Overall, we are very satisfied with our stay and I've already rated Kazueya 5 stars on Expedia!'

'I and my wife have always admired at living at a traditional Japanese house. Machiya Kanazawa was exactly what we dreamed of. The interior was so beautifully refurbished, even better than the pictures. Unfortunately those days were rainy otherwise we could have enjoyed the little garden area outdoor as well. It was almost like brand new. Amenities were great (the washing machine was the best ever!). It is also right next to a loop bus line which makes it super convenient. Staffs were super...

"The room in the hyatt house hotel is super. It’s spacious, very clean and quiet enough (you can hear the trains though, but not that loud). We enjoyed the free drinks in the lobby. However, we didn’t enjoy breakfast. After many days of having a japanese style breakfast during our journey, we were looking forward to a western style breakfast, one of the reasons why we chose a western style hotel. We missed granola, fresh fruits, different types of cheese, fried or boiled eggs, the opportunity to make toast, good coffee (there is an espresso machine but they turn it off at breakfast time), lukewarm water for tea, etcetera. Furthermore there was a very long waiting line of approximately 15 metres. The flow of the breakfast buffet was not thought out well. The breakfast space was too small for the amount of people wanting to have breakfast. "
