'Upon our arrival we were welcomed by the manager Bill who made us feel welcome. He showed us and told us the things we needed to know. Though the apartment isn't big, it was quite complete and looked very new and nice. The bedroom had 2 double beds that were a little too small for 2 adults. Also a readinglight would have been nice, but we noticed that that isn't common in Japan. But there was enough closet space, which we liked. The location was good. 'A little nice gem in the heart of Kanazawa. It's hard to believe the building was over 100 years old. Great job on the renovation. The entire suite was great for family and perhaps a group of friends. Hugh and well stocked kitchen on 1st floor, large tatami bedroom and a cozy living room on the 2nd floor. The suite was clean and extremely functional, just like staying at someone's home. Love that there were two toilets, one on each floor. A bathroom with tub was also found on 2nd floor so we...

'Beautiful venue right next to Kanazawa station. Lobby/Reception is at the 3rd floor and does not have a typical desk - it makes for a modern hotel approach, I guess. Very classy design all around. We were denied entry to the rooftop bar for our 12 yo accompanying us for an evening closure - which was surprising, but OK - might be an American rule in a Japanese hotel that seems uncommon for European visitors. '

'The room in the hyatt house hotel is super. It’s spacious, very clean and quiet enough (you can hear the trains though, but not that loud). We enjoyed the free drinks in the lobby. However, we didn’t enjoy breakfast. After many days of having a japanese style breakfast during our journey, we were looking forward to a western style breakfast, one of the reasons why we chose a western style hotel.
