'Beautiful an luxurious hotel. Well equipped and nicely decorated hotel room with everything you'd expect from a 5 star hotel. Good breakfast with a view over the Old Course and town. Allergies were perfectly dealt with. Location of the Sands Grill could be better: no windows/outside view, which is a pity for such a marvelous hotel location. Be aware that the use of the spa pool has certain restrictions in time when no further spa treatment is booked.'

'Staff were so friendly, extremely helpful in so many ways but in particular helping with my uncle and mothers mobility issues regarding scooter hire, with availability of their own wheelchairs also for use, my mother had a fall on day one and they were so good in helping too, fantastic care from all staff.
Hotel was immaculate, staff were immaculate and I really can’t fault them at all.
Looking forward to a return trip soon'

'The location was FABULOUS! We were 100 yards from the first tee of St. Andrews Old Course! We loved the place and staff, but the bed was stated on Orbitz as being king-sized and it was a double bed that was quite soft. '

'Haar Rooms were conveniently located to the St. Andrews Links courses. The staff was amazing and very welcoming. David in guest services is amazing and was a pleasure to have help out during my stay. I would come back in a heartbeat. No parking on site was a small deterent, yet there was parking up the side street near the Haar which was relatively easy to secure. '

Staff at reception were very friendly and helpful. The location worked for us but it is on the edge of St Andrews and would be a good walk or taxi ride into the centre. 'Lisa and Graham were outstanding hosts. Morven House is a hidden gem, which is hard as its one of the most prominent and historical buildings in Carnoustie. A must stay if you're in the area.'

'The hostess is a gem! The house is quaint and peaceful. Fabulous breakfast and I love the living room on the bottom floor.
Water pressure could be better, but that may just be an issue with the area so I wouldn't fault the propriator for that.
The twin mattress in the room was meant for a small child. It was not comfortable for a third adult, but the main mattress was great. Still five stars because the owner is so accommodating and the place is very nice. '

'De ligging is zeer goed, vlak in het centrum van Anstruther.
De kamer zelf was ruim & proper.
Maar de muren, plafonds en ramen waren enorm dun! De mensen boven ons maakten enorm veel lawaai ‘s nachts, we konden elke voetstap horen.
Daarnaast waren er mensen tegen de deur van de inkom aan het slaan, wat weergalmde in de gang. Laat ons zeggen dat we geen goede nachtrust gehad hebben.
Het ontbijt was wel dik in orde!'
