'The room is very close to the train station but the area is very dirty and is in a sketchy part of town. The room was well kept and has a small veranda for 2. The downfall was the bathroom sink had a sewer smell so we had to keep the bathroom light and fan on. We would leave the AC on during the day to help remove the smell and when we were in the room the door to the veranda. Besides the smell the room was nice.'

'Great hotel near the central train station, a little far from the lively night life streets if that’s your thing. Very walkable. Room was clean and spacious. The included breakfast down the street has amazing croissants. If the other guests are out in the common area late at night noise travels pretty well is my only complaint.'

'Completely false advertising, dirty, and run by rude off-site staff. I checked out same day.
I booked a "King Bed, City View" at Astoria Napoli Centrale for April 26, 2026. What I got was a nightmare:
Wrong Room: A Full-sized bed, and instead of a city view, my window faced a barred back alley with someone’s underwear hung outside.
Filthy: Dirt stains in the shower, food crumbs on walls, cracks everywhere, grimy sink. Looks like no real cleaning between guests.
No On-Site Support: Check-in is...

'Don't judge a book by its cover! The entrance hallway to the building needs attention to be more welcoming, but once you get to the suites, they are fabulous. If you're staying here, try to check in during daylight if you’re unfamiliar with Naples. The neighborhood gets interesting at night, but just be alert as you would in any city and no problem.
The rooms are exactly as depicted in photos - extremely nice, modern, comfortable, and spacious. The building is secure and the rooms are located...

'The VPM Rooms accomodation (triple room) was exactly that...a self contained room complete with bathroom and without a kitchenettem (the Expedia pictures can misguide you here). The room was functional but basic (almost like a hostel room). It did the job but it did not invite you to linger in it, but that was fine for us as we only wanted a base of operation. It was also only practical for use by a couple...we used the second single bed for our suitcases.

'Slight snafu getting entry to location, no staff on site. Using WhatsApp was able to contact proprietor and work things out. Location is off a very busy road. Other guests coming and going at all hours, found it a bit noisy. Room was well appointed, but had a noticeable odor from someone smoking/vaping in the room previously.
All things said, it was a good location for catching a bus to the airport the next morning.'
