'A little outdated and worn, but still a fantastic five star hotel in terms of amenities, service and ambience, all very much in the old-style luxury model. A great way to pamper yourself, especially if you book their Red Level accommodation. In the Salamanca district, right next to Plaza Colón, taxi's in front of the door, footsteps away from public transport and walking distance from Retiro, El Prado and other sights. The personnel could not be more professional and helpful. Very recommendable.'

Airport is just less than 10 minute drive and although there are not too many big shops or major restaurants close by, you are still in the midle of Madrid which means plenty of nice small cervezeria's etc. Metro stop is just 5 minute walk.'
