A Paradise Found wordt u aangeboden door de maker het Hondenhuis, Monkey Business en A River Runs Through It, dat zich door het bos naast de deur bevindt.

De Watauga-rivier begint aan zijn 60 mijl-reis op de noordelijke hellingen van Grootvaderberg en stroomt over het algemeen noord en west in Watauga-Meer op de grens van Noord-Carolina - Tennessee. Het woord "Watauga" is afgeleid van het Cherokee-woord "Watagi" wat "prachtige wateren" of "fluisterende wateren" betekent. Deze dynamische oeverzone is eigenlijk een migratie corridor voor vele soorten vis, vogels en andere dieren en speelt een belangrijke
rol in het behoud van de biodiversiteit.

Bij mooi weer kunt u de rivier te verkennen of uw geluk beproeven in een verscheidenheid van forel zoals beek, bruin of regenboog te vangen. Dit gedeelte van de rivier de Watauga is nu particulier gevuld en is uitzonderlijk voor het vliegvissen! Alle vissen is enkel kunstmatig lokken, catch and release alleen. Levende of geurende lokaas zijn niet toegestaan. Vliegvissen gids diensten zijn beschikbaar op aanvraag. Als het regent, de rivier stijgt en de kajakkers naar buiten komen om de stroomversnellingen te schieten.

Een paradijs gevonden en een rivier loopt door Het zijn twee blokhutten die een 2. 75 hectare groot complex vormen met de Watauga rivier die door het centrum van het pand loopt. Beide hutten zijn gebouwd van met de hand uitgehouwen hemlock uit Washington State en grenen lambrisering van Watauga County. De toegang tot het pand is een met bomen omzoomde onverharde weg dat zodra een deel van de spoorlijn bed van de West-Noord-Carolina East Tennessee Railroad was.

De kathedraal grenen plafond en dakramen van Paradise Found zorgen voor een ruime warm gevoel als je loopt in. Het hoogste niveau is voorzien van eiken vloeren, een open haard, Bose entertainment systeem, een goed uitgeruste keuken en een spectaculair uitzicht op de rivier. U vindt er ook de grote slaapkamer met een met de hand gehouwen hemlock balken plafond, een kingsize bed, flatscreen-tv en een complete badkamer. Deze hut is accessorized met fijne originele kunst, antiek en oude foto's.

Loop naar de beschutte veranda en ervaring honderden meters van de watervallen, keien en zwembaden. Geniet van unieke rivierfront dineren in het granieten tafel met vier stoelen of ontspannen in de zithoek of in de spa Hot Springs. De veranda komt uit op een groot dek met uitgestrekte uitzicht op de rivier, een picknicktafel en gas grill.

Beide hutten zijn gunstig gelegen nabij de belangrijkste slagader die de skipistes van Avery County verbindt met de uitzonderlijke antiekwinkels van Foscoe met de rijke geschiedenis van Valle Crucis met de geweldige restaurants en entertainment van Boone en Blowing Rock. Verschillende diensten voor wildwater- en visgids liggen ook in de buurt.

Beautiful, modern cabin just minutes from all conveniences, yet very private on a dead-end gravel road. Comfortable furnishings and super-clean. The rushing sounds of the Wautauga river cascades *almost* hid the noise from busy Hwy 105 across the river. Sitting on the screened porch surrounded by blooming rhododendron was a treat in July.

Peace by the river

Two seniors and a small dog. Very peaceful. There is a road on the other side of the river. That wouldn't be visible in the summer when the trees are fully leafed out. Upscale appliances and decor. Very comfortable.

Weekend away

The property was great for a little weekend getaway. Its less than 10 minutes away from Boone. It has a screened in porch with a hot tub and a wonderful view of the river. Its a very private neighborhood wih a one lane gravel drive in. The house is clean and spacious for two people. All in all it was a great stay for us and the dog!

We really loved the location and the place itself. Our only issue was that we couldn't seem to get away from the dog fur. It was on the clean towels, on the bathroom counter, end tables, and even ended up in our food.

Cozy and beautiful mountain retreat on the river

We had a lovely visit at "Paradise Found!" It was a great location, private but near great amenities. The river was a wonderful back drop to our weekend and the pups had a great time. The interior of the cabin is beautiful exposed wood and rustic cabin touches! The updates are impressive and include a modern kitchen and updated bathrooms. The fireplace is cozy and the back porch is a great place to sit and relax! We will definitely be back as time allows! Every season would bring something new to enjoy!

From the time we made our reservation until the day we checked out, everything was made simple by constant correspondence via email on everything that we needed to do.The house was exactly the way it looked in pictures and in many ways even better. The kitchen had all stainless appliances with brand new dishes. The master bedroom and bath were fully equipped with a Jacuzzi tub, tile shower and even a brand new stackable washer dryer.There was a hot tub on the screen porch set up and ready to go with a view of a flowing river to watch and listen to as you enjoyed the hot tub.This cabin was perfect for a couple and was very convenient to Boone and Blowing Rock.We were blessed with snow from the time we arrived until the time we left, we will definitely go back!

Anniversary weekend getaway

Enjoyed our stay secluded and close to lots of shops/restaurants. Would have liked the hot tub to be bigger and have jets on both sides. It was nice to have a washer dryer so I didn’t have to go home to wash a bunch of dirty laundry. Thanks for a great weekend.

Watauga River Cabin

Great location just outside Boone, albeit just across the river from a very busy road. The rapid in front of the cabin drowns out the road noise, though. In Spring or Summer, the leaves on the trees likely block the view of the road. Cabin is nice and roomy for two. The kitchen and bathroom are updated. We had rain during most of our stay but enjoyed relaxing on the screened porch while listening to the roar of the river. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would come back.

Christmas Vacation

The cabin was cute perfect size for 2 people. Bed was comfy, kitchen was great , and bathroom was huge. Plenty of closet space also. The screened in back porch was nice . The hot tub could be bigger and roomier. Personally I think there is too much furniture on back porch with a table, 4 chairs , two rockers, and a sofa with table , all that and the hot tub is just way too much. The outside deck area is very nice lots of space , sad that the lights on railing would not work though. The road to it was fine to drive , but be aware it is close to a main road and you can here traffic, but if your okay with that great. It is in a good location to travel to several close towns. Now on a down side …. Sorry….. there were mice poison out around the house and we brought our two little dogs because it is a pet friendly cabin. There was also mice droppings in bottom draw of oven and the oven was not cleaned when we arrived it was filthy dirty inside. Also something got into some of our Bread on counter , assuming it was mice. The bathroom rugs were dirty and had to be washed also. Who ever is the cleaning company needs to remember to clean under things good also. I understand it’s a cabin but cleanliness should not be a problem especially when you’re paying good money.

Perfect couples retreat!!

Amazing little cabin tucked far enough away to feel private and secluded but only a short drive from town. Paradise found cabin is perfect for a couple’s getaway! Very cozy and rustic with all the amenities of home! We really enjoyed the fireplace and screened in porch with hot tub overlooking the water! 10/10 recommend this place!

Paradise Found

The cabin was nice, the location was a little hard to get into and out of with a F250 pickup. Our first night we had and issue with a rat that had enjoyed some of our food. I would suggest maybe some curtains in the bathroom, I was not very excited about that. The creek being outside the cabin was really nice.

Near Perfect

The cabin is great. Perfect for 2 and we had our 2 small dogs. The back enclosed deck and the side deck that has a swinging gate keep dogs safe and entertained. Only a couple of small glitches. First the "hidden" key was hidden. Thought it would be by front door but it's actually mounted on a wooden rail near front door close to front steps. The second was that the info book gives the password but not network name but we guessed right. Blueridge management was very responsive but I'm always more comfortable being able to talk to owner that knows more about property. I had to ask 3 times about the condition of the drive to the property worried that our low-riding Audi might have a problem. The drive into the property is along a ledge road and one lane so if a car comes the opposite direction you need to find some area where one car can pull over to so the other can pass. The actual driveway to the cabin is fairly steep downhill and can't turn around so you have to back out and manuveur a turn around. We found that by backing out then continuing straight until we could turn around in another cabin's drive was safest. The river with beautiful rocks and rushing water was amazing. There are steps that lead down to rocks and pretty easy to get onto rocks for up close and personal on the water. The cabin is equipped with great appliances and enough utensils and good knifes. One concern, for a child, the dishwasher will tip forward if top shelf is pulled out.

Beautiful Cabin

The cabin is amazing and the river view is unbelievable. We spend a week here to celebrate our 31st anniversary and to get away from everything and recoup. We did just that! We will surly be back to rent this cabin again… PS: The road to the cabin was not bad at all as stated in some other reviews. I watched small cars and BMW’s drive up and down that road all week with no issues. Smooth gravel road that is well maintained.

Beautiful Hidden Gem on the river

The cabin was beautiful and well updated. The view of the river was amazing. The road leading to the cabin is a disaster. This made it very tough to get in and out of the driveway.
