728 - Kookaburra Dreaming - SLECHTS 400m VAN HET STRAND

 

Kookaburra Dreaming, genesteld tussen inheemse bomen en struiken, is een toevluchtsoord vlakbij het strand. Een paradijs voor vogels en mensen, het is genoemd naar de uitgebreide familie van Kookaburras die in de bomen leven en zullen komen en worden gevoed als je dat wilt. Met alle moderne gemakken heeft dit eenvoudige huis alles wat je nodig hebt voor je eigen dromen in een schuilplaats van de dagelijkse wereld. Orion Beach, verbonden met alle andere stranden, ligt op een korte wandeling (400 m) of dommelen en lezen op het ruime dek.

Dit kleine huisje bestaat uit twee slaapkamers, beide met koninginnen, ruim terras en moderne keuken en badkamer. Perfect voor een klein gezin.

Perfect spot for summer family beach holiday

Great location for local shops and beaches. Situated in quiet street, great open family living area with lovely outlook into garden. Games and DVDs provided entertained us for a couple of days of rain. Would come back again

Great house and location! Perfect for a small family.

Lovely house in such a great location! Great access to Vincentia's stunning beaches as well as an awesome walking and bike path. Also a short walk/drive to the local supermarket and other shops. The house itself was nicely presented and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay including a great collection of DVD's and books. The garden was really nicely presented and on one of the days we met one of the friendly Kookaburra's which was awesome! The only slight negative was that there were some missing fence panels with 2 grumpy dogs on the other side who kept poking their noses through which meant we could not enjoy the garden as much as we wanted, it was subsequently fixed but only towards the end of our stay. Apart from this we really enjoyed thr house and would not hesitate in recommending it to anyone looking for a cosy place to stay.

A wonderful place but managed by a real estate agency

We very much enjoyed staying at the Kookaburra Dreaming, the place was great and we were very happy there. The only downside is that the place is managed by a real estate agency and you need to go to their office to pick up the keys and pay bond and hope you will get it back promptly and the booking conditions were not great - if there was COVID outbreak and you couldn't come you would likely lose your money so I didn't like any of that. Also, as advertised, there are two queen beds so for a family with older kids it would have been better to have separate beds but we knew that when we booked the place... Other than that it was very comfortable and beautiful :)

Peaceful holiday amongst the trees

A very charming outlook to trees full of birdsong makes Kookaburra Dreaming feel more secluded than it is. We had a lovely holiday and enjoyed cooking in the well equipped kitchen, the morning sunshine on the deck, the comfortable lounges and bed. A short stroll to the water and beautiful Greenfields Beach just down the road. Highly recommend!

Poorly managed and dishonest service

The gas had run out on the property, however there was just enough in one tank to make us believe it was ok. When that depleted to nothing we all had cold showers for the second night. When I mentioned to the property manager that he should have kept at least one tank full at all times, he put it upon me to request to have the tanks topped up. I don't see how that was possible at 8pm both nights as the tanks failed successively. He gave no concern for the incident and i had to pass the keys back to him over another tenant complaining that she had spend the first day of their stay in a filthy apartment that again he seemed to have no concern about. Additionally, they withheld refunding the merchant fees that their bank charged for the security deposit. This is not my cost and I think it highly dishonest on their account. If they insist on the security deposit, they are responsible for the merchant fees. I am happy to pay fees associated with the cost of paying for the accommodation, but this was not the case. The house was ok, however it is not insulated so it is hot when the sun is shining and cold when it has passed. I would give the friendly kookaburras the only full marks. Avoid this property due to the management if you have the choice. There are plenty of other options.

Great stay in Vincentia

The property is quiet, clean and has most of the things one needs. The highlight is the big living area & deck. Close to beaches, walking paths & shops. The only annoying thing was being asked for a deposit & being charged fees for actually paying the deposit and then having to provide bank details for getting it back. I’ve stayed in quite a few holiday rentals but that’s a first.

Great beach holiday spot

We (family of 4) stayed at Kookaburra Dreaming in September for 3 nights. Great deck and leafy back garden outlook on a quiet road in Vincentia. A great location - only couple of minutes walk to the nearest beach and cycle/walk track and away from the busyness of Huskisson. Nice set of board games and DVDs for the kids, and a good kitchen space. The only bit that took the shine off our stay was cleanliness - there was a strong smell of smoke when we arrived which wasn't good for a family stay and some parts of the interior could have been better cleaned. We communicated this with OzRealty. Apart from that, great stay for a great holiday!

Property overall was very clean, except for the sofa bed corner, which has spiders and dead cockroaches. More info on switching the gas bottle for guests would be great as we was not able to have hot shower on the second night due to no gas. Also no one answer to the emergency number via call or text. We called them 10:30pm at night for gas problem, however, they returned our call 2pm the next day., which is too late for anything.

Long weekend in Jervis Bay

Very comfortable and quiet location. Only negative is perhaps curtains on the lounge windows/doors, understandably it is private, but during winter would help keep the warmth in and perhaps a heavier curtain on the main bedroom window for privacy from next door balcony. A little note to say and abrupt push required on the washing machine door would be good for future guests. I loved the outdoor private hot shower outside the bathroom. Overall, would definitely recommend and friendly helpful agency staff too.
