'This tiny get-a-way was perfect for us. We were able to see the sites and return to this well appointed efficiency apartment. it as comfortable, nicely decorated, clean and enjoyable. Don't expect to prepare luxury meals, no stove included, however we did not intend to cook for ourselves.'

'This listing says cottage but it's an apartment. Be ready to go up stairs to get into it. The kitchen is small but fine. Everything works, but it's not especially well equipped for cooking. The coffee maker does not work. Our checkin was delayed for about 40 minutes when we arrived and we had no where to stay while waiting for our apartment. Wi Fi was very weak in the apartment and TV is like a hotel where there are certain channels available but no way to sign in to your own streaming accounts....

'Loved this location. Right next to state park and just across the street was access to beach. The street is busy, just have to be careful and patient. The side we stayed on had 3 big bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths. Make sure to bring paper towels, toilet paper, dish soap, hand soap and garbage bags. It was very clean and a very cute cottage. We loved our stay there.'

It was decently clean (there was a lot of stained carpets and such, but we were expecting that from the listing description). It didn't smell and we didn't see any bugs. 'We loved staying at Sandy Mutts ! Communication was great , location and access to the beach was convenient and perfect as well. We only stayed for a couple of nights but it was just what we needed. "This is a reasonable hotel in terms of price/quality ratio. The location is almost at the end of the boardwalk but the Virginia Beach shuttle stops right outside. The staff is very friendly and helpful, there were some things that were not right, when we arrived the indoor pool was not open, both washing machines were out of order (there were 4 brand new dryers in operation) and the sliding door to the balcony in our room we could only open by using a lot of force. We had a balcony with sea view on a high floor and the view was fantastic."
