'We didn't receive the code needed to get in and had to phone after arriving in Iceland (they didn't respond to my messages on Expedia). Things were missing from the suite including the kettle, bowls, mugs, hairdryer and a picture from the wall. We phoned and somebody brought replacements. We stayed for 7 nights in June/July. We only had 1 hand towel and 1 bath towel each, but I emailed asking for more and they were delivered the following day. The suites are well located for restaurants and...

'Mooi appartement. Parkeren voor de deur. Heerlijk restaurant aan de overkant.'

'Decent apartments close to the downtown. Many cafes, restaurants nearby. The apartments are self check-in and they provide all information over email a few days before travel. Communication with them via email and phone was top notch! The rooms were clean with a kitchenette but a bit cramped for space when you have to open a big suitcase. The bed was not too comfy and had a creaking sound. The shower area is separatedfrom the WC by just a curtain, there is no cabin. So, the water spreads a bit.'

'Basic lodging that met the needs of our party of 7. We were in building 53 (upstairs) and there is no real lounging space but the bedrooms are spacious. Basic soap provided and some tea/coffee. Beds were comfortable but as others have mentioned the floors can be loud but slippers are provided to help the noise. The building is close to the main area where shops and restaurants are so definitely loud at times…earplugs can help.'

'The host was amazingly helpful getting us into the apartment, as we had arrived early. She allowed us in to store our luggage while we got some lunch. The apartment was spacious and comfortable beds/pillows. Close to the Harbour and restaurants. The couch in the living area was extemely uncomfortable and broken. This should be replaced for future guests. Otherwise very pleased with our choice at Kartuki.'

'Great location. Some issues. Sink in bathroom clogged. No shampoo or conditioner. No bedding for sofa bed. Water smells of sulpher. I have been to Iceland 3 times and never had this. Towels were lousy. No paper towels. No coffee maker. A french press which was half broken'
