Mooi nieuw huis met 2 verdiepingen in eilandstijl, prachtig ingericht, gebouwd in het midden van het enige inheemse tropische regenwoud in het land. Dr Stephen Tarek, een pas gepensioneerde Chiropractor, woont rustig boven in een aparte eenheid en is beschikbaar voor alle onmiddellijke behoeften. Omdat alle huizen in het vulkaangebied enigszins afgelegen zijn, is dit ook een goede veiligheidsmaatregel. Begane grond van huis heeft 2 slaapkamers met nieuwe queensize bedden en luxe dekbed dekbedden en beddengoed. Woonkamer heeft een zeer comfortabele slaapbank op ware grootte. Een grote badkamer met jacuzzi en douche. Alle houten vloeren en plafond met gashaard en prachtige volledige Chef-keuken met alle nieuwe Samsung-apparaten en wasmachine / droger. Grote lotusvijver en 2 overdekte privéterrassen (Lanai) met zitje. Lang bureau met ruimte voor 2 uitkijkend over lotusvijver om comfortabel op laptop te zitten. Printer beschikbaar. Dichtstbijzijnde huis ligt op 400 m afstand door het bos, dus geen naastgelegen blaffende honden of hanen. Extreem stil en vredig, uniek en een volledig Hawaiiaanse ervaring. Perfect voor diegenen die willen verkennen en wandelen in een hoger gelegen tropisch regenwoud. Niet echt de plek voor luide drinkpartijen.

What a special place! Well designed and constructed accommodation with quality products including building materials, appliances, lighting. Thoughtful touches like fresh flowers, bath robes and house slippers. Very comfortable furniture. Very clean; well stocked. Our host was "invisible" unless we needed him for anything, he was immediately responsive and accommodating! Our host, made us feel welcome before we even arrived and was a wealth of knowledge about the island, places to visit, eat, shop for food, etc. The home was outstanding, quiet, peaceful, serene setting both inside and out. Volcano Forest House

Steve is such an awesome host and gives incredible recommendations about things to do around the island. Volcanoes National Park entrance is really close by so we were able to go daily. The house was super comfortable and the kitchen (with gas cooktop) made it so easy to come home after hiking and sightseeing to cook a simple meal for dinner. Highly recommend this peaceful place. Did you ever walk into a rental and know that you are a special guest and not just another renter? You will feel this away here. Every detail inside and out has been thought of and organized. The kitchen is ideal (plenty of items to get started, condiments and spices incl coffee), the bedding was heavenly and the outside areas so relaxing, every inch was squeaky clean too.Steve was beyond a five star host and was so helpful for off the path island info and volcano watching.tips.. We were lucky enough to be there for Kilauea’s episode 16 and drove to the park in 15 minutes to catch the eruption. So close here for easy access to what could be a once in a lifetime viewing event.. spectacular!This was an unforgettable stay here at Volcano Forest House next to Volcanoes National Park. We are still in awe!

Oasis in the forest

Our stay at the Volcano Forest House was simply the best! The host did a fantastic job at communicating how to get there and what to expect. The space was clean, inviting and exactly what we were hoping for. Walking out in the mornings to sit and listen to the birds with my morning coffee was divine. The property is gorgeous and if you are lucky, you might even catch a glimpse of the frogs like we did! Definitely plan to return if I am in Volcano again. Thank you Steve!

Steve's home was very peaceful and a great base for exploring volcanoes national park (less than a 10 min drive away; you need a car to explore the area just fyi). House fully stocked and tastefully decorated. Limited dining and grocery shopping nearby though so just plan ahead if staying longer than a night or two. Very safe and secure!

Beautiful property, very close to national park

We had an amazing stay in the rainforest. The rental itself is extremely clean and well furnished. We were also greeted with many fresh flower arrangements and fresh local fruits, which was a very nice touch. The bedrooms and living space are very comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped. The grounds of the property are stunning. Many interesting bird sounds to enjoy and at night the sounds of the coqui frogs abound. We chose this rental because of the convenience to the national park. It is less than a 10 min drive from the entrance, which made it very easy to fully explore the park. Steve is a very welcoming host, with many excellent recommendations for daily activities.

Clean, Friendly and Helpful

This property is amazing, located right outside Volcano NP. IT was very well represented on VRBO by the owner and clean. We enjoyed that it was outside of Hilo but not too far away. This made for very peaceful evenings that were full of stars. The owner, Stephen, was extremely friendly, helpful and full of ideas on local spots. His rental was clean and nicely appointed. You can fully cook meals here if you like. Would most definitely stay again and also not hesitate to suggest to friends and family. 5 Stars.
