The first night I arrived to my apartment, there was visible dust and mold. After noticing, I contacted the owner within 15 minutes, explaining I have a dust and mold allergy and asked for a deep cleaning and or another room. Without addressing the cleaning, I was informed that the only room available was a 2 bedroom upgrade, that I would need to pay 500,000 vnd extra for. The irony was, upon checking the same host’ availability on Expedia for the same 1 bedroom, there were 5 other rooms available… I contacted Expedia, they mediated and I was given the ‘ upgrade ‘ for free. The upgrade included a balcony, with no furniture, a leaky sink, a mini fridge and no microwave, very different from the listings photos, and there were 4 other rooms available for this type. I inquired about a month long rental stay, for when my 8 days were up. Thinking I would get a different unit, nope back to the original. I was assured that the previous studio I was in, was ‘ deep cleaned ‘ so although reluctant, I agreed. Now back in the original studio, I woke up the next morning extremely stuffy; an indicator of dust and or mold. There was no deep cleaning that took place. There is cobb webs hanging from the ceiling above the bed. Dust behind the couch and the bed. When asking for these things to be addressed I was asked to pay a 100,000 fee and asked why I moved the furniture. Again checking expedia, there were 7 available units. I would not book here. There are other owners with cheaper rates. Yw
