The host, Reshma, was unbelievably helpful in guiding us through some travel difficulties, and did everything imaginable for us, including a pickup and dropoff. I couldn’t recommend it more highly!'

There was plenty of activities to do, it is well-equipped - we enjoyed the paddle boarding, but the room was much more dated than the website photos appeared and we had mixed experience with the staff - a few seemed reluctant to interact. 'French Fields is a breath taking place to stay. Beautiful Lavender fields, Olive & fruit trees. Lovely pool area, very clean and private. We stayed in what was called the “modern” suite, a kitsch and garishly designed suite that was a far cry from “modern” in today’s standards. Where it really fell short was the experience and service. I have tried that number about 12 times but it always goes to answer phone. There was another phone number mentioned on my earliest Expedia correspondence and when I called it an Indian man said I had a wrong number. 'Handy to have bar and restaurant on-site even if we didn't use them. Great views from second and third floor rooms not so much if on ground floor. Easy short walk to town centre and eateries. Hairs in bath not ours!'

'In no way this is a 5 star resort. Completely overpriced for the level of services provided. Staff members were all polite but definitely not well trained and transactional, food very mediocre. Spectacular location. This resort is priced at the level of an Aman or Mandarin Oriental-type property and it is very far away from that. Very disappointing for the price we paid. '
