I want to start off by saying: this location is dealing with a mosquito/bug issue! We kept getting bites in our room and in the lobby. We told staff about it and it kept being an issue.
I was going to rate the place mostly positive but the bugs really ruined the experience. I attached a photo of a bug bite (not from a mosquito) that one of our little ones got last night. It is unacceptable for a 4 star hotel.
Aside from the mosquitos, the hotel was good. Great location, nice beds and bathrooms, full featured kitchen and laundry in unit. Window view of city was fantastic. Gym was large and well featured. So overall good find for the price.
We did have some issues with housekeeping on check in and in general staff was very argumentative. We found issues with the room when we checked in and the housekeeping staff argued with us that we caused the mess (hadn’t even been in the room 5 minutes). Those issues were addressed but this story kept repeating itself. We would bring an issue or problem up and staff would either blame us or dismiss the issue.
If there wasn’t a bug issue this place would 4/5 but with the bugs it’s a 2/5. I wouldn’t recommend going with the current bug issue. We went all over DC and this was the only place that had a mosquito problem.
