'There is not much to do in the direct surroundings of the hotel and therefore you must always take a taxi or tuctuc.. food is excellent, although the waiting time is relatively long. We had a room without sea/pool view big we didn't expect to be overlooking the trashbins.. Staff is very eager to help, would be better if they would be a little more in the background. Everytime we came down three or four staffmembers would come up to ask about your day, if you wanted to dine, if you wanted any...

Bike rental friendly, five minutes walking to the rental and take me back to hotel after returning. Half hour driving to dock for wacthing whales'

'Nice place for the money, but the children were home and started talking early in the morning, you can hear them, so it is not big on privacy or late sleep (after 6am). Walkable to the turtle sanctuary. '

'We really enjoyed our stay at Parawa House. We had a family room, which was perfect for us. The family who run the place are very friendly and helpful and make a lovely breakfast. The location was perfect too. The Wi-Fi connection wasn’t very strong in our room, but we were able to use communal areas to get Wi-Fi - which was essential for our preteens! A really lovely stay and we would return there if we came back to stay in Galle.'

'Great small hotel that I strongly recommend. Very friendly staff , warm welcome ! Very good breakfast and the room was nicely decorated. This is a very good value for money. We really liked staying at this Small House Boutique Guest House. It is very well located. The streets nearby are so cute and there are many restaurants around.'

'Staff were so lovely and helpful!! Went out of their way to assist and help with transport also. We loved the breakfast - plenty of food. Property was kept very clean and tidy throughout. Would definitely stay again '

'Staying right in the centre of town near Pedlar St in this very modern clean home was a delight. The bonus was the lovely couple who owned it. So generous and welcoming, including us in their festivities for New Year and preparing special Sri Lankan afternoon tea treats for us. Our attic room and sitting room were upstairs. The air conditioning was very welcome and the bed very comfy. '

'This is a lovely historic house presented with style and charm, and high standards. The staff provide the best service and are very attentive. Setting is just gorgeous with visiting shy groups of purple-faced leaf monkeys and peacocks passing through along the high walls and trees from time as you sit in the cool palm filled courtyards. And added, an excellent menu with both traditional and modern mix so well presented and tasty served in a lovely restaurant-bar setting on the deep verandahs. '

"De accomodatie is heel netjes en het personeel is erg aardig. Het ontbijtbuffet is uitgebreid met warme sri lankaanse gerechten, maar ook vele westerse ontbijtopties. Heerlijk vers fruit. Qua diner zijn er ook veel opties. Uitzicht vanuit het hotelrestaurant is fantastisch. Je zit aan het strand. Mooi zwembad. Kamers zijn groot en worden elke dag goed schoongemaakt. Enige nadeel is dat de WIFI verbinding af en toe wegvalt. De bedden zijn goed, heerlijk geslapen. De airco werkt ook heel goed. Het hotel heeft een eigen spa en tegenover het hotel zit Spa Ceylon waar je ook terecht kunt voor wellness behandelingen. In de buurt van het hotel zitten verschillende restaurants en met een tuk tuk ben je zo in een winkelstraat in Weligama. Let op dat je bij een tuk tuk wel afdingt op de prijs."
