'The host was very pleasant and quite thorough in explaining on the nuances of the property. Other guests were quiet although I was only there the one night while visiting family. The room and other amenities were clean. There are pretty gardens throughout the property as well. Note that there is only the bottom sheet and comforter on the bed and no top sheet, in addition although there are california shutters on the lower part of the window, but the 5 am sun lights the room up in the morning...

'The first room had a lot of hair on the bed. The second room also had hair. You had to lay the bed yourself with the sheets they gave you. The next day you put up the cleaning sign. The staff only arranged the bed. They did not change the sheets. They did not clean the bathroom. They did not change the towels used. They did not replenish the courtesy articles (soap and shampoo).'

'The property is quite large, and they have various room options, ranging from economy setups to family and royal suites, so there is a variety of pricing and layouts depending on what you’re looking for. It also has a lot of amenities, like a shared living room and kitchen, free Wi-Fi, and a basketball area. We had pleasant time and Empress is a stunning beautiful lady in an put. Highly recommend this Empress Palace ( Hotel stays ) to friends.'

'Check in was easy. The front door and the room had a key code so there was no need for keys or key cards. There is a little shoe storage area when you walk in for your shoes. The property left us snacks and water for our room when we checked in, and even offered additional bottles of water the next day. 'I was in town for an Alaskan cruise with my uncle. I had booked (and paid extra for) the bigger room with the sofa bed. I received instructions for after hours check-in, which had me assigned to room #1. When I showed up at 11:45pm and attempted to enter my room, it was locked. I was finally able to get the owner’s son’s attention at 12:10am only to be told that they had given my room to someone else. I was then given room #2, which was a king size room, but not conducive for my uncle and me. I...

'Easy to reach, park, access……nice, clean and spacious room One remark, dogs allowed in the hotel which could mean having a dog nearby that barks and whines. With no staff at the hotel (reception / security) other guests seem to think it’s okay to scream shout and have a party till early morning, so for a good night rest I would think twice, which is a shame considering my opening statement '
