This is our 5th year staying in this magnificent house. Each year it's harder to leave! The house is spectacular and so well equipped. Cooking and baking in that kitchen is amazing- the layout is perfect and offers every necessary utensil. So many meals have been enjoyed around the beautiful large dining room table and the open concept allows us to spend cherished time together. The beach- just steps out the door -drew us out for many walks morning, noon, and night. We really appreciate Sarah checking in to make sure we had all we needed and she was quick to respond to any question that arose. The area has so many incredible places to explore- antique shops, hidden beaches, Ogunquit's Marginal Way, etc.- however the best part was simply hanging out on Drakes Island- a true paradise!

You are paying for the spot for sure- it’s on a quiet street right on the beach. Some things could use fixing which I sent to the gal that’s overseeing the property. Hopefully they’re addressed :) it’s pricey so expectations are high.

357 Days Until We Return!!!

Yes, we are already counting the days until our return. This is our 4th year staying at this amazing house and we hope it will remain a tradition for many years to come. We have also maintained the tradition of adding another day to our stay each year - it simply is too hard to leave. It is so wonderful to feel as if we are in a sense returning "home." While this house is so elegant and spacious, it also maintains a cozy feel. I just love preparing meals in the fantastic kitchen with a view of the ocean and being able to chat and visit with family close by in the open and luxurious living space. The house is clean and well-maintained and the owners are quick to reply when a question arises. In truth words cannot describe our fondness for this home and beach and our gratitude for the ability to relax and rejuvenate as well as spend time with family in these amazing surroundings!!

Late Winter Family Getaway

My family has been vacationing on Drakes Island for 30+ years. In the past few years, we have added a long weekend tradition in the late winter or early spring. This is our second year staying at this property. We have loved every second of it and definitely plan to be back!

Each year it's harder to leave!!!

This is our third year staying at this amazing beachfront home and we are ready to book next years stay! The location- the views- it's proximity to groceries- dining- activities- all while being away from it all is just one of the reasons we love it. The owners are so responsive and communicative. We know they are a text or message away. The home itself is warm and welcoming while also having such elegance and style! And did I mention the view. :) Simply put each year we extend our stay just a bit and yet it gets harder and harder to leave. Trust me we will be counting the days til our return!!
