'Way overpriced for what you get. Old reputation may be good but that must be years ago. Noisy room. No cleaning of rooms when you stay longer than 1 night. Old building. The staff tried to do their best but can not help the problems this hotel has.'

Being able to walk down to the River Usk and wander for miles through the open fields was such a special experience. 'Breakfast and evening meal was great, don't tend to eat in hotel restaurants but was really happy i did. Bed was really comfy and booked room specifically for the air con during the heatwave and it was freezing. I will definitely return when in Wales with work again.'

'Breakfast was ok but items on menu extra had to be paid for. Room was clean but dated. Shower was an electric shower that was nearly unusable. Low pressure and no temperature control. No replacement shower gel was left after room was cleaned. Staff were excellent and restaurant was well presented. Hotel room a low 3 star at best.'
