Beach Cottage 1 mijl van Weekapaug & Misquamicut

Korte wandeling van 1 mijl naar het dichtstbijzijnde strand (strand van Dunes). Volledig ingericht huisje in New England-stijl. Woonkamer met 2 grote banken en een grote stoel. Grote eet in de keuken met grote tafel stoelen 6 comfortabel. Outdoor tafel stoelen 8 comfortabel. Slaapkamer 1 heeft een kingsize bed, slaapkamer 2 heeft een queensize bed, slaapkamer 3 heeft 2 eenpersoonsbedden, slaapkamer 4 heeft 2 eenpersoonsbedden. Een queensize opblaasmatras is voorzien. Ductless split (Mitsubishi) biedt zowel airconditioning als warmte. House heeft ook forec warm water olie warmte en stralingswarmte in de vloeren. Lakens, dekbedden, kussens en voldoende handdoeken zijn aanwezig. 2 grote badkamers. Een badkamer heeft een extra diep en extra lang bad. Grote wasmachine en droger op de 1e verdieping. 50 inch HDTV flatscreen smart-tv met Verizon kabel-tv-kanalen, Verizon FIOS 100 Mbps internet, magnetron, glazen kookplaat, grote koelkast. Keurig koffiezetapparaat, eetgerei. Potten en pannen voorzien. Outdoor vuurplaats en vuurhout voorzien. Zeer grote tuin met tafel en parasol, ideaal voor buiten BBQ (houtskoolgrill voorzien). Huis heeft tegels en hardhouten vloeren. Rustige buurt. Bekijk het centrum van Westerly en bezoek de Gray Sail Brewery, 2 boekhandels, antiekwinkels en vele winkels. Dichtstbijzijnde openbare golfbaan is Winnapaug Country Club op 1,6 km afstand. 10 minuten van Watch Hill, 40 minuten van Historic Newport, RI. Onze strandpas is voor het strand van Wuskenau, op 3,2 km afstand. Het strand van Wuskenqau ligt direct naast het staatsstrand Misquamicut. Er is een grote speeltuin / tennisbaan voor dat na het diner uur plezier net op de straat in Rotary Park, of rijden naar Watch Hill voor een ijsje en carrousel rit voor de kinderen-- of Ocean House voor volwassenen. Deze woning staat centraal in de stranden, winkelen, kindvriendelijk en comfortabel voor het gezin. Het casino van Foxwoods Resort ligt op 35 minuten afstand. Het casino van Mohegun Sun ligt op 50 minuten afstand. Geniet van een diner in de vele restaurants aan het water in onze omgeving. Geen borg vereist. Er is een Super Walmart op 5 minuten afstand. In de zomer zijn er veel gratis openluchtconcerten met gratis parkeergelegenheid op enkele minuten afstand in de prachtige Watch Hill of op het strand van de stad. Onze woning heeft voldoende parkeergelegenheid voor maximaal 6 voertuigen. Adres is 7 Cattail dr, westelijk, RI 02891. Family friendly

Nice property in a good location. We enjoyed our long walks each morning and having our dog with us. There are a few areas that would enhance the guest experience. The downstairs door has a very complicated lock which was frustrating. I would have preferred better towels and the cleaning service should pay more attention to swiping/vacuuming the floors before new guests arrive.

Great location. Good response time from landlord after making a request for new comforters for two beds. Outside patio was lovely.Concerns: The biggest problem were the narrow, steep steps up to the main living area. It proved to be very difficult for the majority of us who are in their 70’s. It should be noted in the listing for those who may be disabled or elderly.The oven didn’t work. Overall, the rental needs some upgrades, especially the living room furniture. Floors were not clean either.

Pleasant

Overall it was a pleasant experience however, we were traveling with a crawling infant, and my sons feet were black not even 5 minutes after crawling on the floor. We were also traveling with an elder and the stairs going upstairs are extremely steep and dangerous which was not accommodating. The couches were dirty, worn down, and need to be replaced or at least be covered with clean protectors. After we stripped the beds at the end of our stay, the pillows were stained and dirty. It would be nice if they were replaced with clean pillows and protected by waterproof covers. The beach was only 5 minutes down the road which was very convenient! We enjoyed our stay but the house needs more TLC.

Stayed with family, kids and dogs

Location was great, near the beach and highway. We stayed the weekend and went to Mystic Aquarium. There are 2 bedrooms and bathroom upstairs with the kitchen and living room and 2 bedrooms and a bathroom downstairs. The stairs are very steep and were hard for my in-laws to navigate. There are weren't any paper towels or napkins supplied so be sure to pack those. Hosts were reachable through VRBO.

Dog friendly, not human friendly!

The home was welcoming on the outside. Not so much on the inside. The furniture is very outdated, I didn’t allow my family to sit on the sofas since they were very gross looking. The unit says pet friendly and it sure is, so much dog hair in the house. If your allergic do not stay here. No one in my family is allergic to dogs but due to the dander we were all taking antihistamines 6 hours in to our stay.i wouldn’t stay there again for that reason.

Spacious property for needs

We only stayed one night to attend a family party so were at the property very little. It fit the needs we had. We originally needed 10 people and a dog but no dog and 6 people were all that ended up staying last minute. There were (and still are) dishes in the dishwasher. No idea if they were clean or not. Floors weren't clean, my kids socks had dog and human hair on them minutes after getting there. Have to wash and dry any towels used before you go, which was odd and also an inconvenience since we couldn't use hand towels any more. Stairs to upstairs are VERY steep but fine for us. Overall fine, very expensive after fees especially for off summer season since its near the coast but we had little other choices in the area to accommodate what we originally planned . Hosts graciously let us check in early since no one was checking out that day and very responsive. Overall spacious house and property and 2 full bathrooms were nice. House and furniture a little dated or worn but comfortable.

Nice stay in Westerly

This house in Westerly was a nice base camp for our family's first ever visit to New England. It is very close to the beaches, Watch Hill, Mystic, grocery store, and Walmart. Newport is a short drive. Our hosts were great at communicating with us and very accommodating to our needs. Although we didn't spend much time at the property, we enjoyed the amenities while we were there.

Westerly getaway

The house had a lot of cob webs throughout it. The upstairs shower had mold. The beds were mad with only 1 sheet instead of 2. The house needs some updating and a good cleaning. Otherwise it was a great location and the owner responded in a timely manner.

July 4th stay

My family and I enjoyed our stay at this location. We have rented houses at several RI properties throughout the years. Great location and short distance to things we wanted to do and the beach was great with the free parking pass. We didn't realize the main floor was going to be up a very steep stair which was an issue due to half of our party having knee and leg issues and older persons. When we checked in the house it had a quick cursory clean of floors and surfaces, however the walls in most areas had not been washed with hand prints or food, dirt on them. Cobwebs in corners, dust on ceiling unused areas and a load left in the dryer. When I went to fold them and place them away the cuboard I found most items were tossed in the cuboard balled up and several items were still damp. Should have a deeper clean and for the money charged for cleaning. These are minor concerns so overall decent property.

A nice comfortable retreat

Our family came up and stayed here for my sons graduation from URI. It was perfect for what we needed. There was six of us and we had plenty of room. The couches and beds were comfortable and everything we needed was provided. Really good location to the school and also very close to nice beaches which we had time to check out while we were there

Overall the home location was perfect, close to the beach and many local attractions. The cleanliness could be a bit improved in unseen corners, under the beds there was a lot of dust. The washing machine is a plus, because we could wash our towels. Some feedback I have is to clean the carpet on the stairs because it needed a subtle freshening. The couches were a bit worn, but a cover would help make it look newer. Overall this home was cute, location was great just some elements needed to be tweaked to make it perfect. We loved the fire pit area with porch, it was a nice way to spend time outdoors, with the mild temperatures.
